Hello all, just felt like sharing my first experience growing with CFL lights. I am currently in the middle of the third week of veg using 6 cfls, 3 soft white and 3 bright white. I topped the fire og clone and started lsting soon after acquiring the clone from the clinic. I am using 60% Super Soil potting soil (Dont worry next time i will switch to fox farms) and 40% perlite. Watering every 2-3 days when she drys out, and adding a low dose of miracle grow all purpose plant food (super high in nitrogen) every other watering.
Here she is pretty shocked right after transplant.
Here she is a little less than 3 weeks later today after a fresh adjustment of the lst strings.
So once I start flowering im going to ad a 400w hps bulb to the mix, keeping the cfls on the lower foliage. I will also switch to Botanicare Pure Blend pro bloom formula and potentially add on every watering because soil nutrients will probably be tapped...? Also I have heard that adding molasses during flowering increases bud density for the same reason humans eating carbs increase in size. Is this true and is it ok to add a bit of honey instead of molasses? Or are there certain types of sugars you have to add?
All comments, questions, and advice are welcome!
