1st grow - Autoflower Nute Soup questions

Hey everyone thanks for taking the time to read this. Awhile ago a friend of mine who was growing in his basement without his wife's knowledge freaked out and gave me his whole pot-growing apparatus. This included a tent, soil, seeds, some lights and a bunch of nutrients. He gave me a quick overview of what he was using when but I wanted to see if I could get any quick advice from someone who may have more experience.

I'm growing all auto-flowers which are separated into two shelves: flowering, and germinating/pre-flowering.

For the little guys germinating up top I've just been using Xcite Root and sometimes superthrive but mostly just regular tap water.

For the one in flowering I have been using Fox Farms primarily (Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom) as well as silica blast, and some molasses.

However, recently I heard that Fox Farms was not organic and was given Earth Juice grow and bloom solutions.

My questions are: Is what I have going now sufficient/efficient for growing? Should I stop using Fox Farm and use Earth Juice instead? Is organic actually better than.....not organic?

Any input would be a great help to me and thanks again for taking the time to help me out.

First off, what kind of light setup do you have?

Fox Farm is great from what I've heard, I'm not too sure about Earth Juice. Couldn't really say that organic is comprehensively better than non-organic or vice versa.

It seems mostly to be a matter of preference.:joint:

Make sure not to use too many nutes on the babies, they'll burn. Tap water that has sat out for a couple days is pretty much all they need for a few weeks.

My lights are mostly just cfl's. I also bought one 2' T5 from the hardware store because some of the plants under the huge carbon filter didn't seem to be getting enough light.

Well I'm not sure what kinda wattage you're pulling, but as long you're pulling at least 2500 lumens per plant you're good. From what I've read anyway.

And make sure those CFL's stay real close to the tops.
