Well I am 2 weeks into my first grow. I just moved them out of the closet due to heat stress. Do you see those mirrors? The plants are not directly in the mirror, nor is the light...should I be ok from getting hot spots? I looked directly into the mirror to ensure no part of the plant would be visible in the mirror. My equipment list: Baby Bloomer Ebb' and Flow (7 gallon resevoir), been feeding twice a day at 15 minute intervals (irrigation cycle) lighting used is a valuline 400 watt ballast with MH, first 2 weeks I was on 24/0, last night I changed it to 18/6 due to the heat. Temp is now 77.9 and I don't know the humidity. Ph currently at 5.8.

Can anyone tell me what I have been doing wrong?

So far I know I started feeding nutes way too early, I guess I don't want to have a solution prepared until about the 2nd week of veg?

I forgot to mention that these were mostly all bag seeds.

Some of the plant stems are really skinny and blow over because of the fan. I just moved it back farther and now it's ok. Let me know what yall think!

It looks good but increase ventilation and lower light to within 18''-24'' above plants. Increase air exchange to keep temperatures from spiking, 77*F is good. Have small oscillating fan blowing over plants to cool and strengthen them.
What strain you growing ..??

Should I lower the lights even after heat stress? The leaves seem to be curling up a bit if its anywhere dropped below 2 feet, i am at 3 feet right now. I don't know what strain, sorry.

Plants look healthy judging by your pix. I would add smaller oscillating fan to blow on plants and ensure adequate air exchange from grow area. You getting white residue on hydrocoral or container ??

Try adding glass to your reflector and venting out. This will allow close light proximity and prevent the burning stress that your having. Temps are pretty good from the sound of it. And you should never use mirrors. Unless they are surrounding your plants they arent doing much good. The whole point is to get light to the base without burning. Mirrors are defective no matter how smooth they look. Will cause hot spots if not careful.

nice set up, the lites a bit far away. try to keep it a foot away and have a fan blowing out of your closet, inbertween the tops of the plants and the lites.
other wise your plants will get too leggy and will need tieing up. but if youve been growing 6 years then youll already know. nice looking babys by the way. what lites did you start under.
