1st grow: Closet CFL SH bubble system CALI DREAM

whats goin on everybody first post on the forum but been awhile reading and absorbing all the information there is to be had on here. It was a 3 week wait but I finally got my system and its all set up and the seeds have sprouted, and are currently on day 3 under 24/0 light. they all are lookin good with the first set of serrated leaves startin to get bigger. I have read to add 1/4 nutes when they show 4 leaves and r ready and I know mine are not nearly there yet but I have been excited seeing the changes each day! I will hopefully soon be able to upload some pics... when they are worthy of being shown hah. but please look on me with a kind eye, i read through every page of roseman's big bubble thread and have been going around every1's grow i can to gather information and hope I dont ask some question thats been answered many a time but if I do.. simply direct me there and sorry in advance! tried everything I could to be ready and to truly get HELP out of this not blindly growing hoping someone over the net can TELL me how to do it.

SO thats out of the way, just some general info so u can all understand whats goin on. stealth hydro bubble setup... yeah yeah u can DIY but after waiting 3 weeks for it to show up I know that by now haha but considering EVERYTHING that u get seems like its a pretty solid beginner setup...I've got sprouts when all i did was ADD WATER?? haha. but walkin closet, 3 and a half feet from door to wall, 9 feet long, 9 feet tall. STANDARD, got the Dual spec 2 lights hanging on the dowel bout 2 inches from the seedlings and a small fan pretty far away cause they r small dont wanna hit em with hurricane IKE! also, turning the fan off at night because im in a mountain climate... first snow last weekend its gettin COLD at night! looking into getting a small heater possibly to keep outside the closet or at the opposite end inside(such as my fan for now) will post pics later but Im sure u understand. so as its my first grow I dont wanna out-do myself and am tryin to keep it simple.. im lucky and my buddy has a 400W that I'm going to use for flowering.. thats far away but just layin down the plan so u can all follow and help out!

so will be waitin for them to develop so I can add nutes and will keep updated, pics once they r strong enough!

Roseman thank you for the help in the huge stealth hydro thread! I took your advice and topped all my plants, decided to experiment more with how much i took off to see the results. Definitely gunna take your word on things, not like ive got loads of experience here. But everything is going well, I had the huge spill middle of last night so spent a good amount of time cleanin that up today and then topped the littlebabies. and i wasnt assuming im getting all females when i said ill have 2 mothers i just meant thats the space ive got planned for em once it gets to that stage. im using feminized seeds tho and so am hoping for the best. I will be changin out my res in a week so will give them the full strength, cant wait to see them after I come back from thanksgiving! will post pictures in a few days once i can see how they responded to the topping today.

It will take a week to see the new growth from your TOPPING.
If I was you, I'd be afraid to use that drain plug to drain it after you had the accident. If you need an alternate way to drain it, let me know and I'll tell you a couple of different ways.

whats goin on roseman ahh yes I would fear that drain plug too its possessed. after that I wasnt planning on using it I just duct taped it up real good and i figure that will be easy for res. change just cut it off.. but I would definitely like to hear any other ideas you got. I now see why havin the pump still in is easier so im gunna put that back in without the hub and whatnot. ill grab some tubing and use your method of draining, i have to get some airstones too, i noticed the plants getting the most action are bigger then the side that gets less.

but im gunna b ready for a res change wednesday, full strength nutes and ill b leavin em alone for a few days for turkey day will update once i come back. hopefully will see what went on with my topping then, I was wondering is there any other times I will be needing to prune or trim anything? just wnat to know in advance since I wasnt ready for the topping you advised me. thanks roseman take it easy

IF you plan on BIG plants and letting them VEG for 5 weeks, then about at 3 or 4 weeks, trim the ends of the branches off, just the tips, 1/2 to one onch off. TWO tips will grow back and you'll get more buds

check out the babies, tallest plant is 7" the rest between 5-7 but have gotten reallyy bushy after the topping they are looking nice. dont have any problems yet besides my fucking drain hah its a pain. any suggestions to plugging it up would be great.

Use plumbers tape to seal that leaky drain plug.
and tell SH you had a problem with it.

hey thanks rose and the person who told me plumbers tape before I got the drain plug back in action and its making things alott easier on me. no spills or anything when I came back from thanksgiving, my buddy didnt take as good of care of them as I liked but I trimmed up the sunburns and the branchs like u said and they are doing great. I put the 400W in becuase my 2 cfl's weren't covering too much and I figured I would get the ladies adjusted to the heat since its almost time to start flowering and ill be using the HPS. so I'm on 4 weeks 2 days I did all the pruning 3 days ago so I'm wondering should I wait to start flowering til they recover or just let em have the 12/12 when my 5 weeks comes up? thanks

heres some pictures, they r under the 400w now so its hard to see but theyre lookin bombb. the last pic u can see the 2 tops comin up, I had 4 out of 6 get 2 new tops thought that was pretty good, everythings lookin healthy cant wait to start flowerin em.

thanks roseman i sure am proud! they really grow up quickly hahah lovin it. i put some pics in the stealth thread check em out when your back from your trip hope u have a good one. i got a ? too when u get a chance im gunna be using the 400w hps for flowering and ive heard theres problems with the SH nutes, just trying to see if this is for real cause i dont wanna make it this far and mess it up now, can easily afford getting some fox farm nutes or whatever the case, thanks take it easy

All I know is the SH nutes are sort of weak if using HID lights, and SH offers other nutes for HID lights.

thanks rose, i went to the store and got some general hydro nutes, figured id see how they work out its what they carry at their place and i got it for free exchangin a fan i didnt need i was stoked. changed them over to 12/12 and those nutes so will be updating once i see how everything comes along the next 2 weeks! and if they do triple in size then it wont be too much of a worry... unless that means they yield less but whatever, im gunna take out the dowel and shelf in my closet so i can raise the 400w as needed. ahh gunna b bomb cant wait
