So I'm on day 8 of my first grow and things are looking like they are going okay. Im using miracle gro with the 6 month feeding (don't judge only have a lowes and Home Depot near and don't have cc). Its in a big sand bucket prob about 3-4 gallon. I have 4 100 w cfls over the seedling and it's now on its second set of true leaves. Using tap water and lightly watering the top soil about 2 to 3 times a day and giving it a good water before bed (I fill up a 10 fl oz bottle maybe a little more than half way and needs refill by next day or maybe 2) Room temp between 70-80 F and humidity is between 40-50.

Might I add my stem isn't light green it is a violet color and its covered with the little sticky lookin bristles as well as the rest of the plant. I thought my seedling was sick because it developed a hint of yellow and tiny tin brown spots on the very first petals(not the 1st set of true leaves but the rounder ones) but it continued to grow the second set of true leaves. I thought is was a phosphorus or some other nutrient deficiency

I'm trying to upload pics but still new to site

stop watering so often! a seedlign in a 3 gallon pot will need to be watered once a week at most. you need to let the soil dry out a lot before watering again, if its kept constantly wet you will kill your plants guranteed! violet colored stem is normal.
your using mg soil so the more you water it the more nutes are released, this is why your seeing buring.

My first grow was a MG grow and it turned out well. Easy on any supplement nutes, I watered every 3 days, humidity was very low then.
Flushed before harvest.
2nd grow is Happy Frog and Fox Farms nutes and a coule of auto's. Going well so far.
