So this sprout is today, 2 wks old, and it just looks odd lol.
A leaf is growing out of the middle, and just leaves are growing, and it doesn't seem to want to grow vertically.
Here's some pictures, this is my first grow, so maybe it's fine, and I just don't know what to look for. Does it look ok? thanks

Looks like a baby Marijuana plant, perfectly normal. Leaves do look a bit shriveled though, either too much, or not enough water I'd say.

heat stress prehaps? it helps if you tell everyone your setup btw so they can have a better guess..

I have it in a little trashcan with foil in it, with one CFL, I plan to get two, but this is my first grow, and I really just wanted to see what happens.
It stays around 79 degrees, and at night, 71. I have a cut in the side, allowing air to flow in via a fan...

i havent used foil personally but it seems to get alot of hate on here from people saying it creates hotspots, personally tho id just water it more often and prehaps move the light an inch or 2 further away

ok, I just know you should put the shiny side down, because then it retains heat better, but thanks for your help, I was worried about the plant. Should I cut the leaf growing from the middle?
Also, when should I transplant it to a bigger pot??

no need to cut anything in time it'l just fall off if its going to die, that pot looks like it should do for a while yet as its only tiny still, i start mine in jiffy pellets then cut off the netting and transplant into a 50l tube after once they get about 2/3 inches tall but i have more than one in that tub, you only really need to once it becomes rootbound really

DSC00632.jpgmine was like that too, my 400whps was too close had it like 18 inches from the seedling moved it back to 2 metres and in 2 weeks had turned into this also don giv it nutes yet i did and it was too small to cope and it stunted its growth
