Ive been silently reading several of these forums over the past month or two, trying to get a good working knowledge of the basics of grow space, lighting, soil, nutes, etc...having said that, it would greatly benefit me to hear everyones personal suggestions on my current set up, which is still incomplete as i gain more knowledge and continue to fine tune. this is going to be a closet grow, dont know the m2 but from what i can tell it should be suitable for 2-4 plants.
genetics:
9 unknown high quality bag seed*
lights:
1x 4' dual tube FL cool white (suspended from ceiling)
2x 2' dual tube FL daylight (for the walls)
i want to switch out the four 2' daylight tubes for some cool whites, would that be necessary?
i was also thinking of supplementing my light by adding X amount of CFL's... i found those 68w monsters @home depot, but i think power will be an issue...might just go for the 23w, any advice on this is appreciated!
also, for flowering...i know the best are HPS, but its a first grow so budget is tightish...my question is, will my CFL/tube setup rigged with all soft white bulbs be suitable?
Soil:
i went for the FF ocean forest right off the bat, mixed it with some perlite and cut it with some organic pike brand potting soil with mychorrizae 2/1 ratio.
Nutes:
dry organic bone meal
dry organic guano
(as yall can probably tell, im going for an organic grow...any advice on things to look out for, please let me know.)
