1st post & 1st time growing: Few questions for you guys

Hey guys, I'm xtan (anonymous).
I come from Isr ael, where mj isn't legal but almost everyone here smokes it anyway.
The problem is the cops, they look for it everywhere, I want to stay as safe as possible and as hidden as possible. I'm not planning on growing more than 1-2 plants at a time, it's for my personal use only, so if you guys have any tips, please share.

On the 5th of Decembre, I planted my first sprout, and 2 days later, another one.
I have no idea what strain it is, I just had 2 different seeds (pretty good indica for my taste) that I got from the weed I bought from some guy, not sure if they are the same or not but both are pretty good.

here they are (just 2 plants in the same pot)
the bigger one is 8 days old

I used spiral bulb light (by hundai)
ECO T2 EL WW E27/23W
HYT2-2327/WW
which is really just a table lamp, but that's for now..

Now I haven't bought yet lights, but i'm planning on probably leds since It's going to be in the closet or somewhere similar.

any tips?

I used the tin foil since my light is pretty small, wanted to reflect as much light as possible, but I thought that it's probably done nothing..

about the second plant, I will transfer it, kinda afraid killing it, just to make sure I get 50% 50% chance of getting male and female

Best thing I can offer is to research and learn so you can answer your own questions. But, as another thought...If you transplant one or the other just to have to do it gain if and when it outgrows the container,. you will have shocked it twice. I will not say to ditch it, it is your grow so you decide.

keep it simple dont try for perfection on the 1st grow. just watch what happens and learn from it.

can you get small HPS lights there? theyre way better than CFLs
if you keep the plants small, then you could use 4 of those CFL but a single small HPS will outperform the CFLs by a long way.

UPDATE:
It's been 20 days since started the grow.

After topping it once only (a week ago), it grew lots of new leaves.
I think that I see pref lowers, and I think, that it's a girl.

Please tell me what you think.

p.s.

Since it's extremely illegal here (20 years of prison godamm) my conditions aren't perfect at all, I built a box (paper), covered the insides with tin foil to make it as reflective as possible, covers the bottom in white paper (regular a4 X 4 sheets), I use a regular table lamp.

in the box, I made exits for air circulation.
I know it mostly sucks but the plant looks good from my point of view.

Looking good, how much light do you have on it? If still using cfl's remember they need to be close (a daily battle) as in each bulb within 1-3" max. Id be using at least 4 (5000k) 23 actual watt 100 watt equivalent bulbs at this point. She should be developing a slight aroma. Considered what you'll do about that while flowering? An LED investment is a good idea by the way. A ufo style maybe 90 watts or so (more red) will get the job done better without all the cfl's and heat they produce.

I've read tin foil can create hot spots (focused light).

You mentioned LED, I recommend coming to the indoor->LED forum before you buy anything. The inexpensive LEDs found on eBay/Amazon are usually a disappointment. If you don't want to spend a lot of money, T5HO fluorescent would be a better choice (especially for shorter plants).

Id like to add I dont do the do it yourself led stuff. The entry level ufo style lights do well for a plant or two and may be had for $75-100. Start there before investing in more reputable brands like california lightworks, kessil, black dog, apache etc. For me led ended the heat issues, and daily struggle of positioning 8-10 cfl's close enough!

Man it breaks my heart to hear that Israel of all Peoples and Nations are against one of the greatest healing plants GOD ALMIGHTY created. Boy that has to be not good with the MOST HIGH. But I would flower immediately. Man Im a lityle disturbed about that Law. I dont want to encourage you off to the gallows... Please becareful Child of Jacob.

Tin foil will direct unseen beems and cause your plants to seem as if they have dediciencies.. I agree...

Something like a big old refrigerator(gutted and vented) with a lock on the door would do better.

To avoid heat problems 4' florescent tubes are best.

I would stagger daylight tubes with soft white tubes, mounted vertically and some two foot tubes on top mounted horizontally.

These types of tubes will not burn the plant(s) on contact.

Yikes...20 yrs? Growing plants is fun but you best be careful! They're looking pretty decent btw just try to stay out of prison;)

yeah i know ! I stopped buying weed until I get rid of the plant (after flowering) to make sure nobody catches me lol (for now it's a one time experiment, just for me).

I'm going to place florescent lights this week.

Now, I have one more question, I live with my parents now since I just finished the army, my room is small and I don't want to move it outside my room, don't want my parents to be involved in any case of the legals coming (NOT GONNA HAPPEN), the problem is the smell, I tend to keep my window open even though it's winter outside lol (about 10*C), and since it's a shelter room (almost every apartment in Israel has one :???:), the door has a vacuum rubber but I'm not sure it's going to work 100% in the flowering stage, cause the plant already started to have the aroma... :/
Anything I can make to catch the smell ? I read about these jello-jar that helps to absorb, but I can't find it here anywhere, and ordering stuff like that from the net is pretty dangerous.
Anything home-made maybe?
