Both the same price for one syringe but apex shipped like 10 days faster , midwest grow kits also shipped quickly, lost 2 blue meanies due to contamination. Ordered 12 more jars from midwest grow kits and nocd them on sat 10/3 with the remaining spores 7 gt and 5 blue meanies. Incubation using graphite heat mat at 79f

If i may recommend getting one with proper thermostat as this has dial settings and you will have to find the exact temperature your looking for i put this in medium came back about an hour later and temperatures were over 90 degrees Fahrenheit. So i put several layers of cloth and card board between the jars and pad for perfect stable temps...

So you're recommending a digital adjustment thermostat or just one different from the reptile mat you have ?

The one i have works fine for me because i have a wifi hydrometer, so i can adjust the hi/lo dial and get it to the right temperature, ,if you get the one i have you will want a small thermometer/hydrometer

I gotcha :) sorry for hijacking you're thread mate. When ya gonna fruit?
I am curious to know what you learn from the hydrometer function.
I'm sure he meant thermometer But if not I'm curious too

No sir auto correct is a b÷*"# this is what i meant
I was under the impression you meant thermometer so you could dial in the heat mat we were talking about since you said it was not digital ..... It's all good though :)

Is that what gives them tiny caps with stems out the wazoo?

Yep. Think about a mushroom. Mycelium runs through the ground. It senses conditions that might limit or slow that run. It decides to fire off some spores..into the atmosphere, into the wind, ensure its genetics perpetuate
. But wait, its underground. It sends its fruiting body away from gravity but how deep is the dirt?

Lots of co2 down here. And no light. So its probably still under ground.

Maybe if it just gets a little longer it will make it to that light, out of the co2 (which is heavier than air and will "pool".

The more tissue it uses to make that loong stipe (stem, stalk) the less it has to produce a gorgeous spore producing cap and gills. But a little cap is better than nothing. The tiny cap umbrellas open and fires millions of spores out of its miniature gills

A couple of spores light on the breeze and find themselves on a nice ripe cow pie half a mile away and they mate to start again.

Now

This is all just speculation but its a nice story isnt it.
