1st time hydro????

so im wanting to try hydroponics to increase my yield and stuck between these 2 set ups can anyone please point me in right direction as of to what would be the easiest to run as my first???

the questions i mean is to like,
what would take the most care and work?
what would yield the best?
as it will be set up in another house and only plan on going once or twice a day..

also would i need this with both set ups

both are good ,about the same as care/work, yield too same personly i would go with the second one if electric fails the plants wont dry out because there in water compaird to the other which drains riteaway you can also keep the res out of grow room if want helps with water not getting to warm also might be a little shorter for lights so can grow bigger plants and also can add to system very easy
