1st timer please help me if im doing sumfing wrong

this is my first grow outdoors can you please tell me if im doin anything wrong i cut a few bigger leafs off cuz they were yellow and also dont no if its female or male?

need closer pics of the nodes but it looks nice but one simple way to tell is if it has 2 pistols directly next to eachother on the nodes but the easiest way to tell is when it starts to flower and u see them really come out...keep asking around for more advice and good luck
