1st week grow problem

I've been trying to grow for about 2 months now, not a big success so far..

Maybe you can help to figure out what I'm doing wrong:

- I buy good seeds from good and known shops
- I grow outdoors, on a balcony with allot of sun and temps of 19-32C and tons of sun.

All of the seeds I;ve planted (germinate directly in soil) sprouted and broke ground.
I didn't over water neither let soil go too dry.
And still they all kinda fell, the thing stem just broke in the middle and then died.

help me,please.

Broke as in the stems snapped, or they got tall, the leaves bent over into the soil and then rotted away?

I plant into small compostable pots...the ones that wither away when you immerse the small pot into a bigger pot full of earth. (therefore eliminating a transplant persay) I grow many and then pick out the ones that look most promising. I plant them directly (meaning still in the small de-gradeable pot) into my soil medium...into a huge pot. I plant them like one would plant tomatoes...usually the stems are quite long and the plant hangs over the small pot. Sometimes they can't hold themselves up at all. Any plants that have a stem that looks to be broken or pinched, I discard. MY TECHNIQUE...I bury most of the stem when transplanting into the larger pot, leaving enough of the plant above soil that it can support itself. And yes I realize at times this can contribute to stem rot but I rarely have a problem. Tomatoes are planted the same method and I have the biggest fucking tomatoes this side of Cape Breton Island. Anyway, the plant may shoot up yet still but if it requires support I use a small stick. Then one day you look and ta da! They are standing up on their own and ready to take on the world. Hope this helps.

Thanks guys.

My problem is that they do not manage to pass the first week of growth.

They get to about 2 inch tall, with 2 small cannabis leafs emerging. and than the plant just falls and dies..... :(

I try not to over water/under water. Keep the soil moist but not wet.. lots of sun and light.

Please help your friend,
All I want is a nice smoke

I have had great success with starting seedlings up to the age of 2 weeks at least, under a florescent light. You might wanna try that and bring the light right down on them. I find the seedling to be bushier and stronger than when I grow them on my sill or outdoors or even in the green house. Just an idea...and the paper towel method to start seeds is my preferred method. I always keep the paper towel moist and in the cupboard...after maybe 4 days I open the towel and voila! nice little sprouts, then I plant the seed into soil, root down. Actually I never plant directly into soil...only once, and that was at the local Royal Canadian Mounted Police station...they had such a fine flower bed but it was missing a little something.

I think Novie hit on something there. If the seedling is stretching, the stem isn't going to be as strong as it should be, and some weight on top can easily cause problems. Try some florescent, see if you can get it to start bushing out when shorter.

i had the same problem but now my issue is that i have about 3 inches maybe 4 inches with about 3nodes on each plant.. but they been like that for a month now.. they get good sunlight periodcally thru the day(cuz the sunlight shifts positions on back porch) then i remove them from the porch at night and sit them under one cfl 100w eqiv for the remainder of the evening.. so that would total 12 hours under cfl lamp.. i know i probly need more light huh? but until i can get my grow box ready, can they survive off the methods i'm using? i'm also using bagseed for now, till my thumb is absolutely green enough, ya know?

its how im having to learn it
but this is what did it for me ur plant can live easier from underwatered thenn over watered
its odd but if u water ounce a day u will kill it
2 days wait is ok tho
unless u dig ur finger down and its real dry that will never steer u whong

NOT SURE IF YOU WERE RESPONDING TO MY QUESTION BUT HERE GOES...i'm using miracle grow sed and root development.. i know i know.. all i hear is, "miracle grow is terrible" but i was in a hurry and there's no good nursery's in my area.. that i know of! i live in Boston.. but i start off with the miracle grow seeding soil after germination then when they got about 2 inches i transplanted them in a bigger pot using scotts potting soil.. i also want to know if using a walmart tool shed made out of hard plastic will be ideal and safe for a good grow box?
