Subcool if ur reading this please respond if u ever see this. As u can see though im having problems using the super soil mix. Its only day 4 of the whole operation and the leaves are looking kind of burned. Had a few people tell us it was either too much nitrogen or a humidity issue. We're willing to take advice from others who might be educated on the mix, but some advice from the actual maker of super soil. I'm gonna attach some pics so u or any of ur close friends can maybe check it out and give us some words of wisdom...

Your first pic looks like the beginnings of a Ca deficiency. Are you on tap water or R/O water? I had nasty CaMg deficiencies until I switched back to tap water from R/O.

that is not ca or mg deficiency. what size pots are those? how long did you veg for? those plants look kinda small. you need to give a lot more details if u want good help.

Here's the pics and the strain is definitely kush but we ain't sure what kind. Sort of a toss up between citrus or purple but it really has a strong orange smell. On average each plants is 15-18", almost two months and just got put under T5's in five gallon buckets was under T12's previously and this is only day 4 of the operation

assuming you transplanted right with a good buffer and followed all of subcools directions correctly and arent overwatering or using bad water i would say your problem is the florescent lighting. you should be using hid lighting with soil that hot.

edit: it looks like leaves are starting to claw downwards and yellowing at the top. are the bottom leaves really dark?

We have two lamps that gives off 20,000 lumens. That's not enough? And what would be good, a 400w MH? We kinda tight on money so we had to get what we could get for now. There's no way we can get through this first grow cause the flower bulb is a 400w HPS..

put them underneath the 400 now and continue vegging for at least two weeks this way you can gauge how they look growing into the soil. since you only transplanted 4 days ago its too early to tell what the s.s. is going to do. typically plants are initially dark green the first couple weeks after transplant then they lighten in color and explode in growth. what condition were the plants in prior to transplant? meaning were they lush green and aggressively growing or did they look similar to how they look now?

This was the atmosphere they hade before they were moved very little space and only under a t12 and does it matter if the 400is hps or is it all time related as long as its getting that 18 hours of light or should I get a veg bulb

if money is tight then just use your hps bulb. main thing is to get them under the hid lighting asap. i think they are going to be fine.

Thank for real its like you just pulled my kids from a burning building lol and is there a easier way to get ahold of you on here and is it gonna effect cloning cause we wana keep one for the mother cause right now its at least the third generation and if we lose these no more exotic just back to regular seeds

Yeah, after looking at those new pics I'd say they just have some hot feet. That happened to me the first time I used super soil because it got too dry for a bit while cooking and didn't finish composting all the way. Your plants really don't look all that bad. I bet they do fine.

Ok...I have some issues useing the 8 bulb t-5 fixture. No1...make sure those plants are right next to the bulbs...like 2 inches. Makes a huge difference with fluorescence. Also....some slight discoloration on 1 or 2 leaves is not uncommon when acclimating to supersoil. Next time if its the same strain mabey use only 1/4 pot super soil the rest roots. Sooo.....if there is only 1 or 2 leaves looking like that and the plants dont get worse then they should improve as they grow and the roots reach into the SS for food. I would either go buy a 400 watt halide or get a descent t5 8 bulb fixture. I can attest for certain that if you follow the ss recipe correctly and have a strong enuf veg light they will be fine. I am going to either upgrade to a 400 watt halide soon for vegging and dump my t5 or next time I make a batch of soil..(just made a batch)...I will cut the nitrogen by 1/4th as I feel my leaves are dark when I flower my plants. Subcools recipe the way it stands is awesome for HID lamps but if ya veg under florescents consider upgrading yur lights or cutting the blood meal slightly. Thats just my opinion and subcool will prolly have a different opinion. Its whatever works in your garden man.

Hope I helped...have patients and rest assured now that you are useing the supersoil way of growing....your buds WILL be bigger juicer and MORE plentifull productive flowering sites. Many more bud sites....bigger...faster...tastier...period!
