2 1200 Watt Viparspectra LEDs enough for flowering 4x4 tent

Hey y’all just moved into my new tent (4x4) and was wondering if the second Viparspectra VA1200 I just bought will be enough to flower 4-5 plants. This has me a bit concerned as the wattage per square foot is roughly 27.25. Their website says one 1200w is enough to veg a 3x3 and flower a 2x2. So my thought process on purchasing a second one was that 2 1200s should in theory be enough to veg a 6x6 and flower a 4x4. Any thoughts from some of you more experienced growers? this is going to be my second grow and I would like to iron out the important things such as lighting from the start.

to flower a 4x4(16sq ft) you will need 4x a 2x2 (4sq ft) therefore you need 4x those lights for a 4x4

waste of money, buy a decent hps for it and call it a day

Okay that being said if I add the 600w led I also have would it be enough to make the cut?,

whats the wattage on the 600w, prolly 240ish? 4x4 = 16sq ft at minimum 30w x 16 you need 480 true watts minimum, id say push for 550.

Okay so I did the maths the 2 1200w have a combined true wattage of 420 +- 14w so if I add the 600 that has an estimated 200w at the least I’ll have over 600w. So I’ll at least be able to veg comfortably with the 2 1200w leds and will more than likely add the third 600w. As I need to save so I can purchase a big boy light. I’m currently getting close to the budget I set for myself for this new tent

I’m looking at building my own diy setup with the sa,sung f or h series led strips seems like their very popular and efficient throughout the indoor gardening community and it’ll save me money. Plus I like tinkering with electronics.

you will just find greater satisfaction in the "white leds" even though i prefer hps for flower the decent leds are catching up. you'd really be satisfied with a 600w hps in your 4x4 it will cover it all by itself

the heat isn't terrible from 1 600w hid

After this second grow I’m going to do some serious research and save in the mean time so I can buy something that will be more than enough for my tent. For now the only thing I’m concerned about is heating and cost.

honestly watts r watts so if you run 600w of led its going to cost same as HPS, only difference is hps will smash ur burple yield

heating only sucks 2 months out of the year. rest of the time your fine
