Like the title says 2 250's or 1 400. the 400 is 5500 k and the 250's are 6500k. Anyone have any suggestions?

I have one 600 M/H & HPS but its on flower on the other side. I am investing on a 600 for the veg side but wanted to get away with what I have for the next month. I have 4 250 watt lights but is that the same as a 1000? I would think the par would be a bit lower. I know in a coral reef tank you need a 400 watt lamp if you went over 24" deep because the light wouldn't penetrate as deep. any help with what I have on hand would be great.

well I tried it and the 400 looked brighter than 2 250's so i kept the 400 and added the 2 250's to that. ;-)
