2 Pounds by the end of summer? Can I do it?

Heres the deal guys, and maybe you can help me reach this goal. I'm finishing a grow now with 400watt HPS.

I'm willing to invest 400-700 more bucks into this thing if I can yield 2 pounds before the end of July (Moving).

I dont want to attract to much attention (light wise)
Was thinking 2 400 watters but wasnt sure
Never cloned before (on my first grow now, and not sure I would given the time)
Can I just use fem seeds a couple of times or would I be better off cloning?

One thing is certain though im using a 3x3 tent for veg(already have) and 4x4x6 for flower.

What can I do guys? +rep offered for help:bigjoint:

get a 600 dig hps or maybe a 1000w (htgsupply) for flower and keep your 400 for veg, I would get some fem seeds just because its so much easier you don't have to grow males and later toss them also helps with cloning because you know they are fem, yeah I would get some fem seeds in case you fuck up cloning. Cloning is easy once you "get it" i use a simple method that works 95% of the time, I actually have to many plants I had to throw them away. Get a small clear or relatively clear tupperware an clear lid, also get some rooting powder, 1 or 2 cfls for light, some soil with no nutes, get some of those small trays that grow flowers in or seedlings, you can even use a small cup to. Cut the clone dip it in the powder and then stick it into the soil, water them and then put them in the tupperware with the top on misting occasionly, your clones will root in around 10 days, to check if they rooted I gently pull up on the clone to see if it is anchored, dont pull to much or you pull the clone out. I have used this method with rockwool, soil and even straight perlite, they all work but I found the soil worked the best, you def can get 2 pounds if you improve your setup a lil.

This was my first grow it was under a 400 an 600 in a 5X4 space and I didn't even use all of the space, these were 7 plants that yielded 1.5 pounds.

Just plan it out if you do clones or just straight seeds so once your done harvesting 1 crop you can transfer another crop into the flower area right away and than transfer clones/seedlings into you veg area, you will get a harvest every 10 weeks yielding from 1 pound to 3 pounds every cycle. just remember when adding lights its going to get hot so do it up on the ventilation and expect to pay money on things you might not have thought of in the beginning. good luck

Im trying to do EXACTLY what you did bro:bigjoint:

How about if I get a 600 and use that with the 400 I already have for flower in my 4x4 tent? Will a 4" 165 cfm fan do the trick?

How much and what kind of light are we looking at for my veg tent?

I was going to get 10 fem seeds but what would I veg them with, t5? Because I will use clones and mothers/ or is seeds just better? I dunno dude i would be pretty happy with 1.5lbsss

What do you think?:eyesmoke:

If i were you you I would get this http://www.htgsupply.com/growlights.asp?categoryID=1&subcategoryID=101&typeID=83 with an air coolable hood for flower and keep the 400 for veg, only light needed for clones is a CFL, put the clones under your sink or something, you can do it anywhere, even in your veg tent if you have enough room. As far as ventilation your going to need some fans to pull the hot air fromm your flower chamber, and your veg chamber possibly even running the hot air out a window becuse with a 1000 and 400 its going to get pretty hot in that room. That fan you got prob is only good enough for to cool the veg lights to cool a 600 or 1000 your prob need a new and more powerful fan to cool those lights. The 1000 light is about 100 $ more than the 600 but your first harvest you will be able to make all your money back and than some, you have to think of it as an investment. I don't grow in a grow tent, I grow in a walkin closet so my ventilation issue are different (harder) than your yours, so somebody with that grows in a hut would know the type fans you would need to cool such a place
