Hi all, finished buying the rest of the lights I needed today. Added them onto what I already have going.

I've got 32400 lumens running from (12) 42w lights on two plants. Do you think this is enough for 2 plants?

And uh...anyone know where I can find a good reflector that will handle multiple lights? I've been trying to find something that will handle the 125 or 200w hydrofarm CFLs, preferably 6 of the lights per reflector but I just cant find anything like it. Closest thing are the envirolite reflectors but they are European models, voltage differences will be a problem, and the hydrofarm reflectors will only handle one of their bulbs per reflector and it just doesn't seem to be a good idea to use those because the reflectors are so bulky you'd lose a lot of light concentration with only one bulb per reflector.

I saw the tutorial on how to make a metal reflector off of another forum but I'd rather not go through the trouble of making that. Right now I'm using SeeMoreBud's reflector that he made in his book Buds For Less with a bunch of Y splitters.

12 will good enough, i have 8 for 2 plants right now. so 12 probably be good. also have u checked out walmart for the reflectors? ive seen 2 kinds at walmart. i bought the smaller one and tried to put a y splitter on them with 2 42 watts and it didnt fit so i just have 1 bulb per reflector. theres a larger one there tho never got it.

I know what kind of relectors you're talking about...the cylindrical metal kind. I took one off of one that came with a clamp and was already wired with a switch. However when I tried using the reflector with one light, the light wouldn't screw all the way down to make contact and of course, wouldn't light up. With all 12 lights hanging from the fixture I made, they're all zigzagging across each other and such so that there wouldn't be enough room for any reflector at all, not even on one of the sockets....lol.

The kind of reflector I'm talking about is more of the hooded variety, like the kinds usually used in HID lighting. You can get cheap aluminum "wing" or better hooded kinds, but they'll only fit ONE high watt (like 125w and up) CFL. I need something that's going to fit around 6 so I can just use one of them per plant.

As a side note while typing this I had an idea. I could easily just get a thick piece of wood, and screw a bunch of sockets to it with enough spacing so that each light could get its own dome reflector, but that's gonna be a big ass piece of wood. Probably about 4' x 4' or something, maybe even larger.

Also, anyone else want to respond with whether I've got enough lumens on my two ladies?

How big is your growspace?

Divide 32,400 lumens by your growspace in square feet if you have at least 5-7k lumens or more per square foot per plant, you will be fine.

I assume you know how to find square feet, height x length
