Does anyone know if a 150W 20,000k marine metal hailide is any good for a small vegitative grow closet or is the color temp too high as i have noticed most agricultural metal halides burn at between 4000k and 7000k, but the info that i have red on aquarium websites say that the 20,000K lamps are the bluest lamps available does this mean that i should be a better choice then a 6500K lamp?

if it's 20,000k, it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay wrong for plants; period

(is that 13,500 a's?) lol

6500k for veg, 2300-3000k for flower

yeah i know its a very bright temp to burn at.
most people on the aquarium sights were saying that they were better for lighting but their aquatic plants suffered for it and grew slower etc. okay sweet thats a simple solution i'll just purchase a 6500K lamps for it.....sweet just found one on ebay for $14.95AUD
