I'm pretty sure this subject has been brought up. Can't find any post about tit tho.
So, dose it really have to be 12/12? Is it the 12 hours of light that kicks it in to flower, or is just the longer nights. Or maybe just the equivalent hours between day and night?

Now I know you're never supposed to fix something that isn't broke. But this was just a thought that popped up to my head.

its the simulation of more hours of darkness that triggers flowering..the plant detects the fact that the "daytime" hrs have decreased, therefore meaning the plant assumes that it is time to flower.. by switching from 18/6 or whatever veg time you run to 12/12 you are purely simulating the change of seasons

I'm not 100% sure but i dont think a 20/20 lightin schedule would work...

I don't know about 20/20 never heard of anyone trying it before and to be honest of the top of my head i don't think it would be much good.
I have heard of some guy who tried to simulate Jamaican sunlight hours though and that was a weird old schedule.
He did that as he thought that would be as near to the Jamaican weed as he would be able to get.

I have no idea how it worked out for him as hes long gone from my life, for all i know he never even did it,but it might be a better idea than 20/20.
You can get daylight hours for any country of a google search if you want to try it.

I am with marijuana man on this subject though and i think its more likely that it is the great weather and increased amount of uvb in these country's sunlight hours and quite possibly the beautiful and unspoilt soil and certain minerals and enzymes that just dont exist in our soil due to pollution and over farming etc.:blsmoke:

Well the only reason i was even considering this was, that with the longer days. Yields, would increase and time would decrease.
