Hello everyone I'm new to the site and new to growing. But one thing I know is, I love to smoke ganja LOL. Here's the situation I have $2000 coming to me on 4/20 and I intend on spending it. I already have purchased a few things
1 15 amp 2 outlet digital timer (I'll use that for my lights)
1 T8 32w Light Hood
4 T8 6500k Flourecent Lights Bulbs (2 for back up)
1 Seed tray with 72 slots for seeds (this is the seed starter tray with the hood for it)
4 5ft. links of chains to hang lights from beems
4 Hooks To hold chains
1 pck. Barney's Blue Cheese (5 seeds)
1 pck. Greenhouse Seeds Arjans Haze #2 (5 seeds)
2 pck. Greenhouse Seeds Alsakan Ice (5 seeds per pck)
2 pck. Afropips Malawi Gold (10 seeds per pack)
1 Seed G-13 Labs Gigabud Fem.
1 pck. G-13 Labs Thai S-Skunk (5 seeds)
A large assorment of herbs, onions, chives, peppers, and flowers
I am going to use the back corner of my basement, measurements are 84" H x 124" W x 95" L. I plan on splitting it in half one side for veg. and the other for flower. I pretty much have a good idea about the veg room, keep it clean and keep it under those 6500k lights. I'm gonna invest in a light mover for the flowering room.
The issue is this, I'm not good with my hands but I want to build this room from scratch. I'm a cable guy so I know how to run cable and I want to put a sub-panel in the basement to control all my power centrally. If there are any electricians here please give me the basics on how I could go about doing this. I bought a book on how to set up the sub-panel but I don't know where to hook up the cable to bring actual power to the panel. If someone could tell me or point me in the right direction would be great. My friend who is an electrician is in jail right now so he can't help me.
As far as wood goes I live close to a Lowes and Home Depot. I'm sure I can figure out how to put everything together as far as the wood goes, but I just need to know what specs
i should be looking for.
I have a hydro grow store and they have pretty much all the lights and shit I need. I'm just not sure if I should get 600w or 1000w HPS lamps. I'm gonna have at least 10-15 plants (weed) and I'm not sure how many veggies or herbs (depends on how much weed I wanna grow) in the flower room at all times. So what lights would you go with on a light rail?
I wanna go all organic and the hydro store offers all the fox farm stuff. I'm gonna be moving 5-6 plants outside in my backyard and all the herbs, veggies, and flowers. I need to know what is the best soil that can be used for inside and outside. Outside I've been getting my compost pile going for a few years and it is nice and black. I have some companion flowers and veggies to take care of the soil for me.
Basically what it boils down to is I have $2000 that I want to spend on my shit. Please help me spend it wisely for the best yield possibly. This is going to be in play for as long as i can keep it going. I want to be able to smoke as much weed as I want when I want and maybe help out a couple of friends here and there.
