So on October 8th I decided to do some night shots, and had arrived at my greenhouse an hour or so before dark to check things over real quick and then get some great still shots and hopefully a video or two. This would have been day 46 or 47 from the date that I seen the first signs of flowering back in late August. I had been checking for any type of mold, rot, or PM every two days and had really cut back on watering them in fear that the low nightime temps combined with the higher humidity levels of living on the coast would cause all of those problems. I had good air exchange, and a variety of fungicides both over the counter and homemade varieties and was hoping I wouldn't have to worry about any fungus issues but I was wrong. That night about 45 minutes till dark I spoted a single cola with a quarter sized spot of bud rot that hadn't been there two days prior. Not that the rot wasn't easily removed and the areas around it dealt with, but I just had this feeling I shouldn't risk it. Our forecast called for five straight days of rain in a matter of two or three days and I figured I wouldn't make it thru that storm, so I decided to chop.
So here it is a half hour till dark by the time that I make the decision to harvest and it's just me and my girlfriend who's caring for our 1 year old daughter (ohh yeah it's also her first birthday this same day). So I have five plants to harvest and only a small window of workable light left. I strip all the fan leaves off and chop the branches next and everything gets tossed into new 20 gallon containers and toated up to the vehicle. Well I worked a little bit in the dark and the last two plants just got their branches cut off and put into the bucket with very few fan leaves removed. We then made a trip back to our indoor facility and into the trim room. By this time it's starting to get late, and the girlfriend is worn out from a long day of our daughters birthday celebration so she heads home and leaves me there to trim. I was so caught up in trying to get everything cut down and then trimmed up and into the drying room that I totally spaced on getting any nightime shots and very few post harvest shots. It took me all that night to trim up the big colas and get them hung, then I had a couple of friends show up and help with all of the smaller stuff. Everything hung for ten days and now everything is in jars curing. We didn't do as well as I had planned, but we still faired very well. Even with the nitrogen lockout due to too many added carbs early in flowering, having to harvest ten days early, and the fact that we got a late start in general we still averaged just over 7.5 ounces a plant.
They were grown in a coco, perlite, and peat moss mix in 20 gallon containers with Oregonism XL bennies added. Fed Roots Organic/Soul Synthetics line up with the addition of molasses and Sugaree from Cutting Edge. These plants were un trained and not topped or pruned other than cleaning up underneath for better air circulation. I didn't have the time early on to spend a whole lot of time on this garden so it was left to do it's thing naturally. Anyways here are some random pictures of the garden from start to finish, some harvest shots, and now some dried bud shots. Hope you enjoy!

First pic is a bud that broke off a week before I harvested. The others are from today after drying for two weeks.
The first two pictures are the rootwads ten days after chopping the plants down. I was amazed at how healthy they still looked after not having any water for a little over two weeks. The next picture is a little less than 7 grams of oil that we got from the first ounce of trim we ran. In total we had close to a QP of sugar leaf and yielded 26 grams of oil from it. We ran the trim after 3 days of drying on racks, 1.5 cans of butane per ounce of trim. Had we been able to go the full cycle I am sure our yield would have been better
Now onto the rest of the plants that we moved indoors under 10K and looking quite nice for day 25ish...
