I READ SOMEWHERE THAT THE MORE LIGHT A PLANT GETS WHEN IT FIRST POKES OUT THE DIRT THE BETTER IT WILL BE IN THE LONG RUN BUT ANYWAY MY QUESTION IS......... IS IT BETTER TO MAKE YOUR PLANT SPROUT ON 24/0 LIGHTING OR WILL 18/6 WORK JUST AS WELL?

APPRECIATE ALL COMMENTS,FEEDBACK,CRITICISM,AND IDEAS ANYONE CAN GIVE ME!!!!!

I LIKE TO SMOKE SPINACH!!! LOL

I usually run 24/0 until all or most of the sprouts are up, then i turn to 18/6.

I've used 24/7 for my first 4 grows until flowering. My current seedling batch is getting 24/7 for the first 2 weeks then 18/6 for the next 6.

I don't think there is any conclusive answer to your question
you'll find that people use either or and both light cycles and do just fine.

I'd say silk has it about right, there are lots of 24/0 advocates on this forum with excellent results.

I'd say go with videomans post on the environmental factors that help cause female's, which is also on the seed brochure for Dutch Passion!

Silk, I'm wondering; what were your ratio's of male to females during the 4 24h grows?? Do tell! I bet u had more males, time after time.
