24 or 18 vegatation help plz

i am useing 18hours light and 6 hours dark i herd in the veg stage to increse growth to do 24hours is this true or will it ruin my plants they are about 6inches and have ben veging for a week and 3 days

not true, you will just use more electricity. plants can only photosynthesise 18 hours of light a day anything more is over kill.

i prefer not to shut my ballasts off beacause it creates problems wioth my timers and breakers until i get one of those 240V in 120V out daisy chain boxes. alot of wattage. i like 24 it keeps me from worring about accidents and oopsy inhibiting a flowwering phase. (i have clones so they are mature and began to switch to flower when i first soiled them i ran 18/6) now that i ahave been 24 for a week there is 2-3 new nodes per plant avg some more.

so like 24 is just a waste ? so i should stick to the 18hours of light

Ive heard people say 24 makes a difference...makes it grow quicker. I keep my light on 24...Havent had much of a difference than when i used 18 for my last plant. So I would say use 18 so its easier on your wallet.

i like to use 18/6 1) it saves a bit of leccy 2) i believe the plants need a resting period ,like in nature they have a dark period ,and growing indoors is a simulation of outdoors so i think it makes sense to have a dark period .but i suppose its down to personal choice ,both work fine .
