24 or 18?

Hi people!
please advice me - i have plants in soil 28 days from sprouting. Always kept them in 24hrs light three weeks in CFL and week in HPS. The plant is vegging so question is: is this ok to keep it vegging in 24hrs, or should it be 18/6 schedule?

I would keep it 24 cause you shouldn't have to much of veg left
usually I grow 24 hrs the first week with flo's then when they
go to MH in about a week or so then I put on 18/6 to save money~

they can take either or but i prefer 18/6 or 20/4. they have seemed to get a much bigger root mass since ive switched. yields have improved as well, but that could be for a number of reasons.

I've read Jorge Cervantes cannabis horticulture and remember to read somewhere that it's no difference in yield for 18 or 24hrs of light, at least for early stages of life. Wasn't sure about veg period. I also read that for flowering it could be 12/6 period and also works the same as 12/12 but you can save 6 hrs everyday ;) Anybody tried?
thanks anyway. Probably will stick to Mrghettogrower's advice this time...

yes i use to go 24 but decided togo 18 to save power and u know mother nature way.. but it doesnt make difference in veg between 18 and 24 just very little extra growth in 24
