250 Watt Infra-Red Heat Bulb

my mate has some massive bulbs at first I thought they were HPS we found the boxes for em and it says there infra red heat bulbs so we plugged 1 in and OMG it doesnt half give of a lot of light and gets very hot it plugs into a normal light socket but there huge Lol is there any chance of crop if I were to attempt a grow with these?

i had the same idea mate, my grandad used the 250w infrared lights 2 rear day old chickens lol so i thaught they wud work but from what i hear it will cook your plants. cfl bulbs are better

no. it would actually kill all of your plants. You would be better off trying to grow in the dark.
