250w HPS closet Scrog 1 plant

Im doing a scrog grow and thought I would share my journey.
Got clone-Soil grow-was told its super cheese
Soil unknown- i took good topsoil and boiled it to kill all bateria
Pot Size-12L
Screen Size - 0.3mx0.3mx1.2m (WxLxH)
I veg for 5 weeks using 4 x 20w cfl 6500k
Then 1 week veg using 250w MH
Veg Feed-Wondersoil
Temps are kept at 28 celc with homemade ventilation. No need for odour control
I LSTD the shit of it- Plant is relatively short but has plenty of shoots. I think the plant is short due cfl being close by, not allowing the plant to stretch.
Plant is healthy
I flipped 12/12 Now.
250w HPS
Will keep journal updated with grow
Any tips or advice will do

I have 8 x 20w cfl 2700k. Would using this be a overkill with light or will it make a difference with yield
what yield can I expect? 3 oz maybe?

Cool little setup. Welcome to RIU. Do you keep your light that far away (picture 1)? You should try to move it closer if you can (Heat permitting). With a 250 watt, if you are cooling, you can have that plant pretty close, within a foot no problem.

They are closer. Adjusted it for the pic.
This my second grow. My 1st was a cfl grow, got 18 grams dry.(8 x 20w 2700k)
Im hoping for a good harvest this time, hence the hps upgrade

You did really well with your first grow. 3 oz's is definitely achievable with a 250...But might not be in your given space. You are only growing in a little over 1 square foot. You can use it very well in a 2.5x2.5 area. If you do that, then 3 oz's would be no problem.

On day 4 of flower stage, I fed Vita Bone organic Mix 4:10:0
Photo taken day 6
It is clearly visible that bud formation has begun. Tiny little hairs emerging everywhere

Temps are kept @26 degree celcs with 250w hps light kept at a distance of 120mm
Also added 3 x 6400k cfl 20w
Scrog is filling up nicely. Trimmed of all baby shoots

I fed Vita Bone organic Mix 4:10:0 3days ago, and she is behaving well. Screen is approx. 90% full. Bud sites popping up everywhere. Pics will give you a idea of what im talking about.

Weekly Update: Fed Vita Bone organic Mix 4:10:0 3days ago. Not sure if im feeding her correctly. But she aint complaining, so I guess she just loving it.
Could anyone assist me, how would I know if my plant is having heat stress

Sorry peeps for no updates. Work got me busy, had no time for grow journal updates. However I thought I would post harvest details.

Flushed 2weeks ago with approx 60L of fresh water.
Last water plant 4days ago, so plant shouldn't be heavy with water.
Had 36hrs total darkness before harvest.

After trimming all excess leaves, not many. I got a wet weight of 228g. I estimate to loose approx 65% during drying. Therefore I could make a estimate of 80g dry.

Bud looks frosty, light green, dense filled buds
Having problems loading pics. Will try again tomorrow
Will update dry weight

My personal goal is to hit at least 1 gram / watt.
I hit .54 grams/ watt on my last grow on a 600 watt

From what I've heard pro's (and heavy yielders) can hit 2 grams/ watt.

This does not include the little larf nugs that no one likes to trim or smoke and mainly used for hash and what not.

Dried for 7 days in dark cupboard. Stems snapped.
Dry Weight: 53grams
Smokes like heaven, cant wait to cure for two weeks

Speaking of cure... I just found a jar of some bud I did the end of last year (actually harvest was new year's, lol). So that makes a 10 month cure. OMG!!!! The smell the taste and the high have all changed. The smell being a drastict change and the smoothness of smoke. The high is pretty close to the same but it is different. Maybe a bit heavier (I assume some of the THC has begun to degrade). But man, if you have the patience and the time I'd say a 6 month cure minimum and you can get up there in the cannabis cup, lol. Probably not without out experience but 6 months is way better than 2 weeks.

So my new rule is 1 month min and 6 month max.
