250w hps or 400w hps?

i have a 250w hps and my plants are geting to big for it. im going to buy a nother one. i can get a 400w for close to the same price. would a 250w and a 400w be ok, or would it make the plants grow all weard. should i buy a nother 250w so they are the same. any help would be great

lol... you post is different. of course get a 400. I would think the only reason that people do use one as in my case is heat issues.

so with 2 plants side by side one side with a 250w and the other 400w about 3' apart will not make one plant grow more i have read that 2 500w is better then 1 100w. i just dont know if a 150w difference will mater
