250watt hps expected yeild? +REP for help

You can do one plant on a 400w, but heat might be an issue depending on the size of the space your using and the ventilation. Seems a bit over kill for the cost though, because I doubt it will increase yields enough to make up for the increased cost of electricity. I'm personally running 6 under a 400w, and would be fine to go up to 8-9 if I planned to used a sog or scrog method where you keep the plants short. As it is I'm planning to grow them to around 6 ft, and will end up needing to get a supplementary light or two by the time I'm a few weeks into flowering.

alright do you use your hps for Veg and Flowering? first time using a hps. and how far should i keep the hps from the top of my plant some people said 16-18 inchs some people said 5 to 6"

ok heres my last question bout 250w hps RIU i was wondering wats the differnce when you use a metal halide (MH) light bulb for VEG to a HPS light bulb?

[Never used an mh but i believe it minimizes stretch in exchange for slightly lesser bud production. I also read that the resin production is crazy under one of those. As far as yield i would say everyone got it right. 1st grow is around a half oz. I juswt finshed a fucked up hawaiian snow with 3 ozs on it but i think it was strain dependent. All my other plants i get a little over a zone but they were all at different stages. Organically i think it should be typical to harvest 4 oz all at once with a little vegetative growth. I also have a 68 w flouro (football) from home depot and a sunblaze strip 48" in there. the hawaiiian snow was all organic nutes from a garden store...ashes and shit and i think a lil botanicare. The longer you grow the better you get. Im almost at my one year anniversary

Put your hand st the top of plants... if it is too uncomfortable to your hand it is for your plants.
and yea i used an hps for veg while growing my white dwarfs but i am happy that they were almost done because they kinda stretch (i think i had purple kush and grape ape in a homemade hydro dwc)
