27 gallon 24 site tough tote cloner DIY

I'll followup this post with a link for all the parts later tonight. About $110 all in for costs. About 64 180 degree spray nozzles installed. 800 GPH pump. Hydrofarm active air pump with 2 air stones to provide oxygen. I would recommend Lowe's version of the tough tote. The grid blocks on the lid are more uniform making the seating of your net cups in the holes more flush when you drill your holes out.

Mine don't leak, but if I did it again the uniform blocks would make for a cleaner finish. Don't mind my OCD :)

I ordered heat shrink waterproofing material to replace the gorilla tape. I have used gorilla tape on my 5 year old 5 gallon clone bucket without issues, but I want the finished design clean and professional quality. After the material is heat shrinked over the holes for the power cords and air lines it will be a little sleeker looking. Same functionality though. My OCD got the best of me ;)

I'll update later with links to all of the materials. Works great!

Very cool. Made a similar DIY unit out of that same sturdy tote from Lowe’s myself. I had issues with water pissing on the floor after awhile. It was leaking from right under the lid so I trashed it. Never used an air pump inside tho just the water pump & aerators. To contrast this year I finally broke down and bought a clone king cloner... total cost? $110

Good price. It was no fun laboring through that I can assure you. I pissed and moaned the whole way. I like your shortcut method ;)
