Hi i was wondering about K (Kelvin)
as My friend has a hps and it is a 2700k and will grow 6 plant sweet and fat with no 6400k and it will work all the way though the grow. and yes i know 6400k is for veg and 2700k is for flowering . (hence and HPS) but CFLS need to have the blue spectrum (6400k) so whats with that...

daylight spectrum encourages stocky robust growth. while you can grow with hps from start to finish with good bud production, you will not have as much yield. the reason is because 2700k is more along the "setting sun" and encourages bud, but 5500k-6500k will make more nodes. increase nodes, increase bud. thats why we start with daylight and move to setting sun when flowering.
