Here we are again, 7 days from sprout.

25% chance they're both male. I don't like those odds, but I still have some seeds left. And access to photo clones.

And the gimp who lost a cotyledon, but is slowly coming around. We'll see!

Strain is a Hindu Kush / Lowryder #2 cross.

My setup is two homebrew LED (Osram GD+, shitty bins) lights, with a ratio of 20 Red : 4 Blue : 5 White totaling ~40W.

Lights are on 24/0 in a rubbermaid tub lined with mylar, two 90mm computer fans exhaust, one intake.

Using 50/50 coco/perlite, nutrients daily since sprout, RO water (since it's $0.30/gal). 250mL feed through 2L pots at 180 ppm, 6.0 pH, 25% strength Pro Grow and Cal/Mag+.

Pro Grow this early? Be careful and good luck sir! If the LED isn't enough light you could always supplement with some CFL's :)

Yeah man it says 7.5ml/4L for the 1st week on the bottle! Really hope no one would go that strong..

Any idea how I can tell if I don't have enough light? Leaves cupping and stretch are signs of low light, right? Little to no stretch so far, especially on the second seedling.

Any CFLs you would recommend?

You won't need a lot of light for atleast 2 weeks, I would recommend spending the 50$ on a 200 watt CFL, but thats just my .02$ I just dont feel like 40 watts is enough to harvest anything worth your time. Manufacture dosage recommendations are always wayyy too high. I would wait til you have a few more sets of leaves before giving it any kind of nutrients, remember there are nutrients already in your soil. This is how people have problems that slow their grow down. It happened to me this grow and I wish I would have spent a little more time researching the soil and mixing it correctly. Anyways Ill be watching, GROW ON!

One in the coffee can has big initial leaves but the true leaves look kinda weird..

i would say 40w is more than enough to micro-flower a single plant, I did 4 party cups under 40w + 40w CFL.

Good to see you back in action H-Caine!

If you wanted to supplement with CFL then a couple 23w warm whites or daylights would be plenty.

Here's a bunch in low natural lighting, no flash.

There's no leaf discoloration at all, however they feel quite dry.. My RH is ~20%. Any way to quickly increase that other than constant misting?

The lights are about 6" above (top of the rubbermaid tub). Should I start 100% strength nutes, or perhaps 75%?

I use a humidifier. If you don't want to go that way, you could put a spreadout t-shirt (simple as use a hanger) with it's tail in a bucket of water and turn your fan on it. You'll have your very own ghetto swamp cooler going on too! :)

100% strength nutes would most likely do more harm than good at this point. Maybe 10%. Not right now, though, ease up some and let them do their thing for a week. Fasting is better than feasting.

Lookin' good, though. Come on, big yields, big yields. :weed:

Looking at the pics they seem thirsty??? how are your watering habits with the cocco??? you can start feeding them now because of your soilless medium, start light and keep raising it slowly/ read their signs!!! Watch for salt build up in cocco(alternate fert/ just water) and keep your ph under 6. Don't worry about low RH, MJ is tough and you will like those conditions in flower:)

Watering every day, man! This feeding I nailed PH at 5.7 using one drop in 4L. Higher nutes now, no difference in 12 hours (they seem a tiny bit more "perky") but I'll keep you guys posted.

They actually look a bit overwatered honestly, leaves look droopy. Besides that no clue why they are so short. Pull your light back 10 in and see if that helps them stretch. Best of luck!

Strange ^^^^ yeah no salt build up, they wouldn't look this healthy........It doesn't seem like overwatering to me; no yellowing at all(are you removing leaves ???). they still look thirsty and that LOW RH is accelerating the evaporation rates..........time to transplant into a larger container ASAP IMO..........good luck

They look over watered to me. Under watered,the leaves would droop at first but lay flat no curl to them at all. But if went too long and heat can determine how long is too long, the leaves would curl upwards and tips turn crispy almost mimicking phos burn except for the curling upwards. How are the roots? A good chance they might be root bound especially in coco / perlite. When mine get root bound, they stay droopy no matter what I do. If I lag on transplanting for too long they show molybdenum and iron def first. The dense node spacing and number of nodes make me think they might be older shorties.

Regarding raising lights to induce stretch:
Limited by grow box size :c I could turn one of the lights off?

Regarding transplanting up container size:
I have two 6L pots.. but they don't exactly fit in a rubbermaid container. Maybe I can scrounge up some money for a tent..
