I have 23 clones on DAY 4 of VEG (after being rooted in the propagator).

It's my 2nd crop - my 1st crop is n DAY 35 of Flower
and I would like to attempt a beginners training technique.
Mainlining, Cropping, Topping, FIM'ing, Super-cropping.....

I'm asking for suggestions for a first timers pruning/training technique
and also for some instruction and guidance.

The plants are under 600w MH
21 are in clay pebbles
2 are in rockwool blocks
A Wilma system feeds/water them by timer.

More details are available if requested.
All help appreciated.

Ok now with clones you can't easily mainline. So get that idea out of your head.

Your best friends for training clones are TOPPING and LST.

They are IMO the 2 easiest forms of training.

As for pruning, I do little bits during veg and then a big amount pre-12/12. Then another good amount during the 2 week stretch.

An easy judge for pruning is to draw an imaginary line 1/3 of the way up your plant from the top of your pot. Then proceed to remove any growth below the line.

Keeping 1/3 bare and 2/3 with growth works really IMO.

I usually start by FIM'ing at 3rd node. That will give me 4 new cola shoots, which I LST, one shoot in each direction so its nice and even. Then I let them grow for awhile. You can top each shoot one more time, but I usually just let them grow out into a big bush. Then before flower I then supercrop all the taller shoots, so that the bottom shoots catch up. I am then left with big nice even bushes that are ready to flower. This works for me, I don't think there is a wrong way though.
