2nd grow - seedlings dying

Hey,

So I started my second grow 2 weeks ago but all seedling are dying. My first grow went wonderfull and had no problems in these stages, she was a TH Seeds S.A.G.E, the plant was about in the same conditions my current grow is (Sensi Shiva skunk)

Lets start with that I started the seedlings under a 55w CFL for their first week since sprouted. They went well, even though temps were high (around 94c). After drying my first grow I transferred them to my main grow room under a 250w Metal halide. They were kept with a dome on for humidity (is very low in grow room) and watered with 6.5-7.0 ph (in soil) and not fertz. So, they started to wilt (even though ground is wet and they ain't getting dry). Leafs curling up, turning yellow. I can't beleive this to be a nitrogen issue so soon, since they are in mixed soil, unless the heat (now in 90c) is causing a nitrogen defeicy or those indicas need more?
Could it be putting too much perllite in the soil? I'm just lost, and seeing my plants look worse from day to day, dunno what to do.

Motamota your procedure sounds good except for the humidity dome, the problem could be rot - perhaps root rot.

Ditch the humidity dome and let the pots dry out completely. The upper roots breath, they must periodically dry out or we will get root rot. When you water soak the pots until water drips from the bottom - it's called run though. Important to soak the root ball, then let it dry, then soak it again. Over and over, the cycle causes a massive uptake of nutrients and root growth.

I'll dig up some info on dealing with root rot and post it in this thread for you. There are some pictures in the Plant Problem chapter of Weed Science, more in the Grow Lab thread.

The leaves look burnt, what kind of soil? Pre fertilized?

The yellow swollen stem looks rotten

The domes have 100% humidity

IMHO, Yeah it looks like over watering to me. You rotted the roots. Over watering is one of the biggest nube mistakes. I know, I did it too. You have to let the plant ALMOST wilt, at least let the soil dry. I got a cheap soil moisture meter from Home Depot. Seedlings pack enough food to get them to their first true leaves in decent soil. The roots need oxygen as much as they need water, and your choking them out.
