2nd grow, Week 1

My humidity is qutie low at the moment around 25 27 % with lights on, when lights go off it goes up to about 50%,
I just placed a container with water on my ballast to add more cause it was even lower, my temps are good around 25C with lights on and around 16C with em off. id like to get night temps higher its just hard here cause its really cold outside and i heat the house with fire so its hard to controll temps.. babies are coming along nicely i think i can post a pic of each if your curious

Without the humidifier my humidity drops to 25 too, so I have 2 small humidifiers running which cost 30 quid each and I mist the room every few hours, honestly invest in a humidifier you will gain so much more if you can have high humidity through veg, my temps are at 75f with 60 humidity when the lights are on then lights off I put a little fan heater on with the humidifier and the temps drop to 67f 70% humidity, i know it's spending more money but it really is worth it.. 25% humidity is way to low you need it to be at least 40%..

yeah i know it should be higher but to be honest i cant afford even 30 quid at the moment to spend on a hobby .. maybe next run or if i get some spare cash together i will.. see the thing is ive read alot of journals and alot of ppl have the same measurments as mine and do ok.. im sure it will help but for the time being i gotta make do.. how many plants u running?

I'm only doing 6 this time but I'm using 3 x 600w so I should still get a good yield from them.

LoL 1800 watts for 6 plants.. ull have trees by the end of it all

Haha I've only got 4ft in height to work with as I did last time hence why I topped, I ended up with stocky trees, I'll show you

Ya no kidding. Im using only a 400w system growing 4-6 plants and they are doing great. I don't have no trees like u but my next grow will be. I have about 6-7ft to work with so going to let them veg for a lot longer this time and hope I can get close to a pound out of 4 chocolope kush's.

those buds must be the size of my arm man !!! very good job .. thankfully i dont nned that much seen as thou its only for my personal use /medicine. but still having colas like that in your garden must be very satisfying

In perfect conditions you can achieve great yields, alot of growers make the mistake of just letting there plants grow without ever really checking the temps humidity, p.h etc etc, bit if you're like me you won't let anything go unnoticed, I had problems and I had a huge argument with a grower called uncle Ben on here who repeatably told me my plants were dying and that my nute plan was poison and at points I nearly belived him but in the end I carried on and it paid off, I honestly don't know how I ended up with almost 5 and half Oz each plant in fact it was more because I got another 3 Oz off all the bottoms, I think my grow space played a big part as it's very tight and compact with white sheeted walls so I reckon it was a perfect light trap.

It's good to here yours are doing well, hopefully so will mine, I've gone for less plants this time but I'm using the same amount of lighting and bigger pots as I struggled for space with 10 plants and it was a nightmare hand feeding them, in the end I stopped been careful and I just used to bash my plants into each other haha while trying to make space to crawl through the jungle so this time altho I'm hoping for the same yield it shouldn't be as hard when the plants get a little bigger, fingers crossed.

Yes the main colas were huge, it took me about 15 hours to crop, at first I loved it but 6 hours in my eyes were stinging, I felt Herendously stoned and I just couldn't wait to finish. My main achievement was the knowledge as I sat back and realized I could actually grow.

What lighting are you using for this one?

I have a 150watt hps and a 20 coolswhite t5 .. i know 250 would be better but i wanna make do with this for now as i do have plans for something bigger and ill neeed to save ALOT .. funny thing is the plants prefer to turn towards the 20watt duno why this is but i dont mind they growin quite vigorously
BTW the hps has added blue in it and is ment to give around 20000 lumens

Nice. It will come over time, I'm lucky as I had a nice bit of cash to put into the grow in the first place, I always worried that my electricity bill would be mega high as I pay it monthly but it wasn't even though I ran 3 lights, 2 fans, a humidifier, then a dehumidifier, a 1000w electric heater.. a 6" carbon filter.. it was suprisingly low. How many plants are growing ?

How any times did u top your plants? I made the mistake of only topping once on this grow. I actually made quite a few mistakes on this grow but there still doing great. Little small but I'm more than satisfied on my first grow. Still have roughly 20 days left or so. My next grow will hopefully be flawless.

I only topped them once too, but I did alot of pruning so I ended up with about 4 main heads on each plant and they were litrally the size of my arms, my plants were only about 4 ft in height but the plants were really stocky, it might of just been beginners luck so we will have to wait and see, I'm doing exactly the same as I did last time but with different strains, I just hope I get a good result.. is this you're first grow??

I can see mine fattening up literally every day. It's fun to watch them swell up an see how big they end up getting.

Mine packed on a hell of alot in the final weeks, there's nothing more rewarding, just knowing you're capable of growing nice weed is a buzz in itself, my weed gets better everytime I smoke it as it's curing in jars I've got a couple of special jars that I'm gonna leave for 6 months before I smoke
