2plants 1pot

i have 2 plants in one pot....i was wondering if i could just leave them like that would that be alright?

plants left in the same pot will eventually strangle each other, id defo advise moving them into separate containers

bobbyhopefield would you know how to transplant plants like these?

i've done it before but did not like it at all and would not advise anyone to do it

One pot one plant buddy, I had 6 plants recently, two in each pot and only two (in seperate pots) survived. The root system(s) were a spagetti mess. Though I also may or may not have killed them with the water being too Acidic. /slapself

Fingers crossed this years plants work out.

does anyone know how to transplant them into there own pots!?

Are they in round pots or rectangle planters?
A rectangle pot would be much easier to get the plants seperated without damaging the roots too much...A circle pot, well I wouldn't even want to attempt that tbh.

Then just soak the soil, then carefully remove the contents of the pot and hopefully if your roots havn't entangled too much they should fall away from each other quite easily with a little tug of course. Some soil will fall off and some of the roots will get damaged but for the most part the root system should stay in tact and recover.

If they're in a circular pot then it may already be too late to seperate as the root systems will most likely already be to strung up with each other. In this case I would buy a pot of double the size as you normaly would when your repotting one plant so that each plant has enough room
For example if you would use a 1 gallon pot to repot one plant then for the two that are in the same pot you would use a 2-3 gallon pot.

or just throw them in 12-12 soon and get what you can out of them. Dont the roots slow down there growth during flowering

I did it as a little experiment.
I think either 1 will kill the other or 1 will just be bigger than the other.
They were some extra beans I have wanted to test out if they're hermi or not, cause they came off a hermi.
So I really don't care about them, I have enough "real" plants going just wanna try it out

My buddy uses hyrdoton in 3 gal pots on a ebb system. He put two plants per pot, it has worked out for him so far with some lst to give each of them some room. He started them on all the way to each side of the pot to give their roots room, they're healthy - like 18" tall - 3 weeks into flower.

I've seen someone with your problem and then all they did was just grab something like a side from a cardboard box and then just split it into the middle , get what i mean jellybean? lol so the roots wont be able to pass it just split the container into two sides , and you will have yourself a ghetto pot GL bro peace

heres my 2 plants today about 2 weeks into vegging...

I've done 2 plants per pot, even 4 in one pot, it's fine. They don't strangle eachother, plants outside aren't all in individual pots, think about it.

yeah the plants will end up competing with each other and both will end up sucking in the long run. If its too late to separate them you will prob just have to kill off the weaker of the 2

what would be too late to sperate them? i have a picture above of them and can i still seperate them?....thanks for your help....

The sooner the better and before the plants have completely established and the the roots have taken over the whole container. But yes those plants can be separated. It has a lot to do from how far away from flower you are also because they will need some recovery time because you are going to F the roots up for sure just DONT cut the tap root and they will survive these.... plants can take a beating.

Why does everyone think you cant have more than one plant in a pot??? Have you guys ever tried it??? I have the same results per plant with 2 in a 5 gal, or 1 in a 3 gal. Again, think about how many plants grow next to each other outside, the ground is full of roots from different plants.

just transplanted them....feels like a bitch to pull those plants out of the dirt ...how long do you think they need to recover?
