2x 4x4x6 tents

Hi, I am thinking of having two tents (both 4x4x6) both running 600w hps in cool tubes.
Would having both tents side by side.... with a few foot space for access mean I can run both with one fan?

I was wondering if I should have the fan at one side blowing cool air through the 2 bulbs as in pic or fan in the middle with a y piece (costing price of a fan) and place it tn the middle.

Please tell me if this is best posted in another thread.

Ok my pic didnt work. thinking having 2 tents with cool tubes running next to each other with one 6" fan at one end. would this be enough or would a smaller fan be best?
Also wonder if id need to run another 2 fans as air exchange or if one would be ok.

are you talking exhaust fan? just calculate how much exhaust you need and get enough for both rooms 1 fan is fine the cfm is what you need to figure out

Yes you can cool multiple lights with one fan. You will still need to exhaust the tents though.

Sounds like "grow room design and set-up" to me. I have to say that I wouldn't go cutting any corners. From just reading and thinking about it the Y sounds like its better, but seems harder to set up. If you are just running 2 lights I think you should have no trouble running them inline. Just my opinion though! Peace

Yes my set up is going yo be 2 x 600 watt in cool tubes with fan at one side blowing out other (nothing going in or out of the tents, purely to cool lights)

Also wondering if I need two extractors or if could do both with one fan.... im thinking the tents will be cool enough, just trying to bring in more fresh ai.

No one able to help? One other thing, whats the cheapest way of controlling the fans speed to cut down noise?

You could use 1 large fan for bothe tents, just calculate your cubic feet and get a fan that can exchange the air at least once every couple minutes. If smell is a concern then this could prove to be tricky to control. IMO you might be better off getting an exhaust for each tent.
You can get fan speed controllers and mufflers for fans.

hello fart, get a 8 inch 740 cfm fan run the duct from one light to the other, on the intake part of the fan let her pull air from outside the tent so she will pull cool air over the lights and out the tent. ur cfm for the tent is 4x4x6= 96sqf so, that 740 should keep things nice and cool. a 6 inch fan pulls about 400 cfm with filther so the fan will be working too hard

Thanks jojo do u think a 6"fan in one tent pushing air out (from light out) and having a filter outside would be enough air out then do same for the other tent?
