That is 75 watts per square foot. Definitely overkill. But 600 watts in a 4x4 is a little weak. I'd just go with the 2 x 600s myself. 2 x 600 watts is perfect in a 5x5.

40-60 watts/ft2 is good enough for HID, careful going past 60 with some strains or unhealthy grows.
Beats the hell out of me how that dude up there claims 150watts/ft2 with HPS lmao, thats gotta hurt the wallet and plants.

Ya 150 watts per square foot is such a waste. 1 x 600 watt in that space is a waste too.
Come to think of it. He's probably paying $15-20 per gram that he grows lmao. May as well just find a dealer and buy it!

Thanks for all your input guys. What would yous reccomend? 1000 watts or 800 watts? Or should i just stick with 600 watts?

why not try 2x 400w in a 4x4 grow area that should be enough to veg and flower

The most i would put in a 4x4 would be 1kw, and even then you should have some height to play with or they WILL end up close to the bulb mid flower. Lol that dude's got 150/ft2 and only 5ft of height, -1ft for the hood,-3ft for the plants = 1ft from the bulb week 2 of flower.. Fucken hardcore lol

600 in a 4x4 is about perfect. Scrog it to maximize the canopy area.
