I've used plenty of ebb and flow tables but they have all been huge and i have this 2x2 ebb and flow table and the water flows back to the reservoir faster than it fills up so it dosent fill up.. do i need a stronger pump or something?? ive never had this problem so im stumped haha

good question actually.

did you buy the system as a whole? I would lookt at similar systems if you DIDN'T and compare your pump to the size of theirs.

Do not change the size of the drian hole. Hydro systems all have the same hole size for the most part and it will back up if you "close" if a little.

Im getting the idea that you must have a weak pump, my drain doesn't have a valve to adjust flow rate

You should have a piece of tubing that is at the level of where you want the water to be. In fact there should be two hoses, One on the pump and one return, usualy the return line is at least twice as big as the pump line to avoid floods. The pump line will become a return line as soon as the tray is full and the pump turns off.

Hope this helps.

Any pump works as long as it's push the water up to the tray... the roots can sit 5-10 minutes in the water without any problems... the best way is to buy a timer that can be set at 1 minutes interval...

If you pump does not push the water up you can try a smaller diameter tubing... more pressure farther the water can get.

Hope this helps.
