What's your budget?

If you plan to or want to use CO2, you'll need a more powerful light. Do you want a light that you can use in a CO2 enhanced environment?

I reckon a good price to performance baseline would be a mars TS 2000L. Good footprint and spread in a 2x4, cheap these days. The SP series is a step up quality wise from there.

Personally I use a 240w quantum board. Chinese, unbranded. 436 LM301B diodes and meanwell elg-240w driver. Around $120-$150 and put out a good spread of light for the price.

That's around 26" away at 190w and reading around 680umol/s in the middle and 500umol/a close to the corners. Closer (18") and you get a better average of 950umol/s over most of the tent but the outsides drop to 350umol/s due to the average footprint.
