2x4 tent shenanigans

Board came in. All set up. Set at 200w flat, 43k lux at the hotspot and 30-35k at the corner cola height/mid canopy which equates to a DLI of 45 for the tops and around 30-35 for the outers. The extra height with the 3x3 is a godsend as well.. the light is around 24" away, gets a good spread at that height and keeps the canopy temps around 75-78f.

5 or 6 gnats came out when watering a few mins before the pic so I lined the top of the medium with traps.

Put a 150w board (set at 135w) in with the gatorslade frost instead of the 240w board dimmed to 180w and threw a tray with some tomato, spinach and parsley seeds in there as well.
IMG_20220929_164308.jpg
The empty box is just there to support the branches a bit and create a nice shaded patch for the seedlings. Like 10k lux. The board at 135w still hits 43k lux at the tops and 30k over the majority of the canopy.

Purple Passion Auto update. Like 32 days from germination. Starting to stack now. Think stretch is over.

Mix is looking pretty hot considering it's only had tap water so far. Got some twisting and the lower leaves look a bit waxy, but still pretty healthy overall.
Let your tap water sit out for 24 hours or boil it. That will remove any chlorine. And the tap water will supply trace minerals for your microbes.

I don't know if it's possible, but two days after removing the 240w board (at 180w) and replacing it with a 150w board at 135w, the gatorslade frost is greening up a bit. I'm still on tap water only, so I'd say it's just the lower lighting Intensity that's causing it to eat less. Looks pretty good considering it only germinated on the 4th of August.

Looks like the amnesia will be a few weeks behind.. has just began to frost, and has finally finished stretch.

Thanks. The gatorslade frost has the most amazing strawberry musk stick cross fennel and pine smell. It's unbelievable.

Checking the heritage it is strawberry cough cross blackberry Kush. I wonder if the smell is from the cough lineage.
It definitely is, freaking love strawberry cough, my first grow I received a couple clones from a friend. Wish I would've known how to clone at the time. Enjoy, she's going to be a great smoke.
And congrats she looks great.

I'm pretty pumped that they both showed their sativa side a bit more than usual. I got these gatorslade frosts off a mate who did a reversal and only two of the nine he ran were sativa dominant and had a decent sweet smell. The others were all smallish and Kush dominant. More gas, berries and fart.

The amnesia haze I expected, but with autos it's always a shit shoot considering the genetics are already watered down a bit more.

Top dressed with half a cup Dr greenthumbs bud and bloom (0.5-2-3) mixed with a cup of fresh medium with added yucca. The dr greenthumbs is an organic neem, kelp, alfalfa, soy, potash, barley, guano mix with basalt rock, glacial dust and gypsum as mineral amendments.

Within 24hrs it has began to decompose and mycelium has been birthed. I love watching the process of life.

Bored today stumbling around a second hand shop and picked up this 7 way splitter for $4 and these 2way splitters for $2 each lol. I had 4x14w 2700k led globes here ready to butcher and I'm Gunna head down tomorrow and grab 4x11w 6500k led globes from the shops. Like $14.

IMG20221006183917.jpg

I've got a 20w e27 led here somewhere with 100x 2835 diodes. 3000k/4x410nm/4x460nm and 6x730nm layout.

Considering I had 4x2700k globes laying around and the 100 diode e27, Ill end up paying $22 for 120w worth of 2700k, 6000k, 410nm, 460nm and 730nm with a footprint of . If I purchased everything by itself, it would be like $60ish bucks which isn't really worth it, but if you have a few bulbs around, photography splitters are bloody handy.

Apparently these splitters are rated up to 200w too but I'm not one for fires or melted plastic. My 200w quantum board gets hot and it has a 65x24cm chunk of 5 or 6mm aluminum plate on top of it to dissipate heat. Imagine that through a plastic splitter and the small ceramic? caps on the bulbs.

That's an intersetin contraption, like a light holder/spider for domestic LED lamps?
Good old photography splitters. I grew my first indoor plant under household globes under two four way splitters with 8x11w globes, so finding this at the op shop brought back memories lol..

They are pretty handy to increase coverage on the cheap. They come in 2 all the way up to 9 way from what I've seen.

Mate just come back from a trip to nepal with some landrace seeds. I've put four of these mystery seeds and a chemdog #4 fem in with the mini garden (1.6x1.6x4) with 44w worth of 4000k led globes.

Shit went south lol. Got stuck out at work for five days and couldn't water. Someone was supposed to pop in, but I didn't leave them a key haha. The amnesia is crispy as shit now. The gator was droopy as all hell and faded bad.

Amnesia haze auto (I'll throw a full pic up when I get home). You can see the burn bad. There was already enough salts built up in the medium as it was. Add five days and a bad dryout and all the tips are curled now and the leaves are yellowing.

Gatorslade frost auto. Fede central.
IMG_20221012_211549.jpg

On a positive note, the four Nepalese landrace popped, and so did the chemdog #4. Chemdog in the square pot, Nepalese in the others.
IMG20221014172901.jpg
How quickly they went down over an extra 3 days dry period shows I have more salts built up in medium than I thought.
