2x4 tent shenanigans

Thought I'd post a journal of the bizarre shit I do to pass spare time. This time round it's odd medium choices. Follow along to see what not do do. Which is probably most of it. I pick up random shit from the hardware store, throw together haphazard mixes of medium no sane person would choose to use and then complain about my life. Because, you know, life.

Purple Passion Auto. In 12" pot of Scott's cacti and succulents potting mix with 3 tbsp osmocote succulent slow release prills (11-2-13) and some uxp pumice. Smack on 4 weeks old. Getting the tap water treatment ATM, but might add some green planet massive bloom (1-2-3 organic bloom boost) week 3-5 of flower.as the slow release doesn't have much P and K is just adequate.

Gatorslade frost and amnesia autos. Day 4. The gatorslade frost is the bigger of the two. In Coco mixed with a bit of ewc and compost.

The gatorslade will be going in straight Coco with green planet dual fuel as feed, the amnesia will be going in a pot of Coco/compost/ewc/basalt/lime/biochar based organic mix with uxp pumice, zeolite and vermiculite as aggregation. I don't know how to feed that mess but it will be interesting.

The pot sizes will be stupid. Something like 5L-6L (9" Dia 8" height plastic) out of spite for my sanity.

2x4 tent. 240w QB at 200w running 18/6. It's winter so temps between 16-25c most days in tent. Will be running these out. Have two 1.6x1.6 tents for drying and vegging.

Plan to run two chemdog #4 photo fems next after the gatorslade and ammesia, as that purple Passion won't yield shit by the looks of it..

This is my small piece of sanity. Got the pots ready for transplant in 10 days.
IMG_20220807_204807.jpg
I will then shatter that sanity by running three vastly different mediums of which I will have to tailor three vastly differing feeds, which I will eventually mix up and end up winging it.

Purple Passion Auto update. Like 32 days from germination. Starting to stack now. Think stretch is over.

Mix is looking pretty hot considering it's only had tap water so far. Got some twisting and the lower leaves look a bit waxy, but still pretty healthy overall.

Looking nice...
Made the worst decision to use osmotic prills though.....thought I'd go the easiest route and see if the rumours are true....and they are...lesson learned though. Listen to the good folks here. If I went one tbsp less it would have been a decent outcome considering I haven't had to feed anything bar tap.every three days..

I'm so nitrogen heavy (could also be P toxicity as I haven't had much claw and the leaves are defo darker than usual) already and flushing will only up the feed. I foresee some toasted leaves late flower for sure. I'm hoping the potting mix will run out of steam soon lol.

Do your leaves feel soft and don't rip or split when you leightly bend them.. or do they feel crispy and crack and rip when you bend them.. leaves with toxic build up tend to be the latter..

Nah the leaves are pretty pliable still. The GDPs I ran were pretty dark as well, so I shouldn't stress too much. They probs have some similar heritage as the structure and leaves are very similar in shape. Just kicking myself for using the 11:2:13 and 0:11:0:9 phosphate in the potting mix instead of the 9:3:13 prills here as well that would have done a better job I'd say, and It would have removed the need for phosphate (even though I only put like a tsp to the pot).

Not like any of it matters now. I'll hold on tight and see what we get.

Day 18 for the babies and day 41 or 42 since germ for the purple Passion. Going to top the GF tomorrow and the Amnesia auto in a few days. The GF auto has the 6th/7th node popping through, the amnesia is only at 4/5.

This Coco is odd. Holds so much water and just doesn't dry out...the amnesia hasn't been watered for 5 or 6 days and it's still got algae on top, and is wet as shit. I figured 9" (5.5L?) pots of Coco would dry out pretty quickly.

The purple punch stinks like peroxide, pepper, fuel and farts unless you touch some trichs and it smells like citrus skins.

Just posting shit whenever it looks good now out of boredom. It's been pretty cool here during winter and we got a warm day. Hit 27c in the tent today and it showed. A lot perkier compared to the usual 21-23c.

Going on day 21 tomorrow. Looks like the gatorslade is just starting to stretch. Was topped back to 5th this morning.

Got a 2x2x4 for $10 at a garage sale today. Moved the purp to its own tent. Did some minor defol on the gatorslade frost (right). Getting ready to set up the ducting for the 1.6x1.6 drying tents hidden in the closets as well so they exhaust out the roof.

Packing tape installation of filter for the win. It's stature in a tent that's only 4ft in height puts into perspective how much of a runt this thing is lol.

Stretch started for the amnesia at day 26, a pre flower or three showing. Both at day 27 today. The gator looks to be mid stretch and yet to stack.

Gatorslade frost auto is strawberry cough cross blackberry Kush, haven't been able to figure out what the amnesia haze auto is though as they didn't give a breeder name and the purple Passion is Blackberry Kush cross Purple Punch.

The one in flower has 3 tbsp of this (12:2:14:9) mixed in the medium (60 Coco, 20 compost, 20 perlite) as feed. Pretty hot, you can see the burn and calcium lockout from it in the pics.
IMG20220826154334.jpg
The other two in pre flower have a tbsp of this shit mixed in (8:4:10:6) the same Coco/compost medium.

Gone completely basic this time round and haven't ph'd the water once or checked any parameters. I think I like it this way. Just watch it come around to bite me in the ass.
