2x4x5 grow tent with 180w of LED?

Hey guys, just bought a 2x4x5 grow tent and am wondering if 2x 90w LED UFOs would be enough to keep some happy plants? They claim to be as good as a 400 wat hps... i know this is bull sh*t, but i figure that 2 of them might be. I dont want to turn this into an LED vs HPS or some crap like that. Im also gonna throw some CFLs in there for good measure. kiss-ass

UFOs are "O.K." they put off enough to have a decent plant if you know what your doing.


www.growitled.com i grabbed 2 350w LED lights when they were 900 now they're 1200. Each light has 60 3w bulbs in them and 6 spectrums of light. The UFO has 1w bulbs and 3 spectrums. Like i said if you know what youre doing you will be happy with your results.

Yeah im thinking that those will be enough supplemented by 4 27 watt and one 64 watt cfl...im gonna go ahead and order these tommorow unless i hear some horror stories lol

I think there are higher-end, better quality products out there, but I have never used a good ol e-bay unit. So i dunno man. THere are lots of threads out there with the 90W ufos, just don't get caught up in the hype, and remember, you gotta keep those babies real close to your ladies. I am all for the led grows, so don't get me wrong, I am not bashing what you want to do. Just make sure you are all researched up before you spend some $$$.

Yeah man i get what your saying, and i am worried about the quality. I like these because they seem to be a decent price and pretty comparable price wise when you factor in the extra ventilation needed with the HIDs. Also im gonna have to constantly adjust the cfls anyway... any coments?

leds are bull shit and then your going to have to put a heater in your tent so your plants dont die and once again they are pure bull shit has no equivelence at all man

I already have CFL's:

3 42 watt soft white
8 26 watt daylight

the seedlings are a week old. the lights are hung about 1" off the top. they are lookin good, no stretching yet..... i got 5 in there, expecting 2 to be female....

i was planning on leaving the CFL's for side lighting and buying a HPS, but i saw a cheap LED grow light on ebay.

the 225 LED grow light sold by LED wholesalers...

what do you guys think of that light for this? using yoyo's to hang the light 1" from the top of the light, and keeping all the CFL's for side lighting (not sure how i'm gonna set that up, but when the time comes i'll do it)

is it a waste of money or not??

LED's are not bullshit...


they used to say the same thing with CFL's and look at what Roseman's doing with them bitches...

anyways, what do you guys think bout my previous post, worth it or not??

Don't believe what anybody says, and go with what you feel is right. Trial and error my friend. That is the only tried and true way.

i don't want to get a HPS because of the heat issue...

and I want to give this LED's + CFL combo a try... who knows, might end up having a good harvest...
