2x4x7 Grow Tent w/ 600W

Hi I have some questions before i put my operation into action. I have a 2x4x7 Grow Tent and I was aiming for a a 600W MH/HPS combo with an AC Reflector hood but I'm concerned about the amount of heat that will be in the tent.

I plan on running an 6" 440CFM Centrifugal Exhaust fan at the top on one side , but i also plan on running a inline booster fan for a little active intake pushing a little extra air in the tent. instead of completely passive the booster fan is just gonna have ducting running from outside the tent to the inside of the tent and wont be connected to anything its just to push more fresh air in.

so basically.... Intake fan > Ducting (just pushing through the tent opening, thats it) >Tent> AC Hood >Exhaust Fan/Carbon filter

I was wondering is that too much light to put in that amount of space? Does that sound of an adequate enough of ventilation system?
or Should i aim for a 400w?
Pics will be added later!
Thanks

in all honesty my 2x4 is pretty hot even with the 6 inch fan venting into my room. gets to about 80 degrees f inside the tent but my room is like 80 degrees f at midnight with the window wide open and its 50 degrees f outside and even hotter during the day sometimes. i would be worried about the heat from the 600 in such a confined space.

Alright thanks, damn I wanna try and squeeze more light in there but you maybe just made me look towards the 400W. What wattage do you currently have in your 2x4? And my place has central air conditioning so I can drop my indoor temps to really cold in the lower 60's

I have a 2x4 tent, I started with a 400 but it is not enough. I use a 600w air cooled hood with a 4" exhaust fan 180 cfm. 2x4x7= 56 more than 1 min air exchange and it cools just fine. run a couple fans around the top of the plants. keep the humidity less thn 55 and above 35 temp 65 to 80. the extra in fan is not needed but wont hurt. you need to vent to the outside or into the roof. the tent will not cool unless the room air tempture less than the tent...... good luck

Thanks a lot for the tips. Its going to be a dimmable ballast so ill dim it if the heat becomes a major problem. but i dont think it will. Only thing i think might be a problem is humidity but ill get a humidifier if so

shit if u have an airconditioned house or apartment run the 600. my house is in california and most dont have ac in my area. just make sure u rock like a good 6 inch inline fan in it with a vented hood and u should be good. i just know my room can be horribly hot sometimes in the middle of the day if its warm outside.

mine cools even with the room temps hot. it is 90 degrees in my room on a hot day and only 80 in the tent. but i run a 6 inch 400 cfm fan in it so i have a bit of airflow going on. lol.
