2x600w vertical tube need ac help

Good day riu. Ive been constructing a new grow room and need some help from the ac gurus out there. I have a 5x5 tent that I have constructed a vertical tube system in. Im planning on using 2 600w bare bulbs. I have a 5000btu window unit that I built an intake and exhaust plenum for. The intake plenum draws fresh air from outside and the exhaust has a 250cfm booster fan blowing heat from room. So far dry test runs the ac has not been able to keep up with one light. So I plan to put them in cool tubes. My question is regarding my ac plenum box. The exhaust gets pretty damn hot to the touch. Im wondering if this is normal. Also I know there will be condensation that I need to drain. Will it be from the intake or exhaust? Thanks for any help!

The inside coil gets the condensation from drawing warm air over a cold coil which should have a drain pan underneath with a hole in it towards the back of the unit. These units are meant to have some pitch to them so gravity drains the condensate from the front to the back.

Refrigerant gets very hot when its compressed. The heat rejection at the compressor which will pass over the condenser coil, usually to the outside, is what you are feeling.

Thanks for the repky firsttime. I believe my exhaust plenum was to small as well. I have torn it off and am bending a new larger plenum. I am hoping this in conjuction with cooltubes will help.
