Im running a 2000w grow above a 3x6 tray. Drain to waste coco/perlite. I'm planning on vegging the plants out for at least 2 months before flowering. I'll be watering them twice per day with GH flora series.

What pot size do you think I should use?

Previously I had used 3gal pots and veg the plants for one month and ended up getting about 1lb of dried bud per light.

Clones are almost ready for transplant and I'm trying to decide what I want to go with.

Any opinions?

Assume temperatures stay at 76 daytime and 67 nighttime. 2 hand waterings a day. Coco/perlite 70/30. 2 1000w during flowering. 3x6 tray with expected canopy of 3.5x7ft. 10 plants.

my humidity tends to run low (30) and I am thinking the extra wet grow medium in the room can balance it out.

Most likely the correct answer would be 1 gallon grow bags for 5 weeks topped at day 7 after the transplant to 1 gallon bags then topped agin at day 21-25 depending on looks of things like branching and shoots and shit.
Then at day 30 go into your 5's or 7's and veg the rest of the way. And don't forget to tie branching down if a lead starts to dominate. Fuck then flower comes and holy shit dude!!!!!!
Please say this is an og clone grow!!!!!!!!!!

It’s a mix of Skywalker and Wookiee.
I figured I’d probably do it just like that. If I put em right into a larger container the quality of the roots would suffer compared to if I transplanted twice.

I typically do a lot of training and take off a majority of fan leaves.

I’ll usually top the plant at its 7th node and then top em again once those branches grow to about a foot and a half long. It just ends up bud sites galore and all the bids end up nice and uniform.

The clones are truly starting to take off now and in coco, they grow so damn fast. It’s remarkable.

Please say this is an hps grow............ Not sure about where you live, but where i live it is illeagle to do an og clone grow under LED. Although there is a member here who did a cookies clone grow under LED, and it looked like he killed it, but he stopped posting and never came through with yield numbers.
Good luck on grow sounds awesome !

If it's a HPS grow the plants will drink faster so for sure larger pots are better for that setup. I put my clones directly into 10 gallon pots but I do grow them really big.
Do you go 2 inch rock wool cube into 10 gallon pot?

I used to do veg for 3 weeks and put them in 1 gal pots. Problem was that they would start drying g out too quick by the last couple weeks of flowering.thats when I upgraded to 3gal which improved yield and health.

This time I want to veg larger though so I figure 2 watering a day would be the minimum required in a 3 gal, and that perhaps in a 5 gal I could cut the coco even more with perlite and water 2, or even 3 times a day.

With coco, I always experienced that if I watered multiple times a day, the growth became faster and faster the more watering I did. I even considered an automated hydroton grow but I like the coco results too much to change a good thing.

It’s a 2000w HPS grow

This was my last grow a few years ago. 3gal pots in coco/perlite. I didn't veg these guys for too long but ended up with about 1lb per light of dried bud. sometimes if plants grew taller I would add in a single 600w as vertical lighting. My grow sapce back then was only 6ft tall but now Ive got 8ft ceilings and want to allow the plants to fully develop.

I think those pictures were a week or two into flowering of 10 plants under 2 1000w.

Check out his grow journal. It’s a good example of proper technique.
Yea but you said you were going onto 3x6 trays. I think his plants are 4x6 for one fucking plant!!!!!!!!
But yea dudes a beast for vegging. So is @Or_Gro look at his journal. That slut did a 8 week veg with a massive amount of tops you would probably like. Do 2 rows of 5 under 2k watts on a 3x6 table that style and you would probably set a world record. Id do it, but i don't have the patients and I only usually veg for 28 days.

I figure, maybe 8 plants topped at the 8th node. Let em grow another 6 nodes before flipping, and defoliate. My buds are always super uniform from lots of training and proper pruning. If I get an average of 2 grams per budsite that’s get me 4 ounces per plant. I’ll likely get more.

Yea, I found that longer veg times produced better results for me. I’m not interested in SOG ever really. I like to make sure the plants are super healthy and vigorously growing before giving them the ok for flowering. I usually grew from seeds I ordered and didn’t have a reliable strain to keep doing every time.

This time though, I’m gonna grow some monsters.

Thanks for the mention.

i’d rather be with one....lol

i don’t consider the 8 weeks to be veg, more like 2 - 3 - cuz for about 6 weeks there are never more than 3 or 4 nodes with leaves on them.

But if you think my manifolds are 8wks, check out @StickyBudHound ’s current grow, he’s going for a 10 week “veg”...

Cheers!

Dude fucking try to hit the record books. Please!!!! You should be shooting for 3 out of your space with that kind of veg time. Its all about how sexy do you feel right now.

I've got 26 days left of 70 before mine flip. I'm shooting for each of my 4 plants to fill their own 54" x 27" scrog space. The scrogs are at 32", 18" from soil. Each plant has 300w of QB132 boards above them. They're in 25 gallon fabric grow bags using equal parts of FFOF, FFHF soil conditioner and extra large perlite. I should have around 50 or more tops per plant and I expect about a pound each.

I'd rather do as you said, make sure they're growing very well before the flip. At the rate I'm growing, I'll do 2 grows a year and yield around 8 pounds. Keeps me plenty busy. (:
