3 days darkness then again light

What if I started 3d darkness needed for ready to harvest plants, having early to ripe plants together?When I get back the rest will continue flowering. Has anybody done it? Will it damage the rest?I hear from lot of sources that the 3d dark period is stimulating resin production significantly

I have tried the hole 2 or 3 days of dark and I 'myself' think its bullshit have never seen any real proof on my flowers of stimulating resin production significantly ..
don't think it would hurt anything just a waste of time.
