3 leaves on first leaves?

ive read up on this before and the main reason seems to be that you have planted the seed too far down in the soil and thus skipped a course of leaves

lol obviously i* a noob. but thats why i ask, thanx guys. also this guy was a late one. a surprise seedling. so thats jus node 1 right?
