I love the mods. Especially sunni, and cannabineer. 
I would like to cook for them. For sunni i would make vegan mac n cheese with greek salad. and for cannabineer i would make venison tenderloin and potatos au gratin.

RIU has become like a second home to me. I feel safe. Protected and loved. Max, the only way to decrease that adrenal system response is a combination of EMDR and working out to exhaustion (running). Google EMDR, buy some decent (cheap), running shoes, lace up and let's go.
In helping others you gain strength, maybe volunteer at your local VA Hospital. One thing is always true there are always others much worse off than you. Look for the gratitude in all you have and with that family you have a LOT more than many of us. Make sure your past does not ruin your daughters future.
