3 out of 4 a males, bad luck or bad gardening?

I'm about 3 weeks into flowering, and 3 out of 4 plants are male. I put them through quite a bit of stress in their short lives as this was my first grow. They've been too hot, too cold, nute burned, and nute starved  Other than that no major problems

My question is, can stress cause males? I know it can cause hermies, but these 3 were all male. Any advice? I know taking clones are probably what I should be doing, I just wanted to hear what you guys think.

I guess that makes me feel a little better. Someone had suggested to me that flowering the plant while it was still small could have done it. Too many people on riu do the same thing for me to believe that.

I'm using the males for cloning practice. At least my only girl is looking healthy, and now she'll get the best lighting all to herself.

yes veg the girl take one cutting and make it your new mother......practice with her....get rid of the male.....unless you wanna try some breeding:hump:

Males are already cut down. I'm just going to see if I can get the male clones to start rooting. I've never cloned before, and I figure no harm if I kill some males trying to figure it out. I'm not willing to cut my only girl this far in to flowering.

I have some more seedlings vegging already. Once they get a little bigger I'll take some clones and sex them, and pick a couple favorites to use as mothers.

I have enough bagseeds saved that I figure I can keep up a perpetual harvest from seed until I get this cloning thing down.

Thanks for all the help

also, stress does effect males. the more stress, the more males you seem to get. the better the conditions, the more females.

Just a quick update. My next 4 to show sex are....all girls:weed:

They were started a couple weeks after my first batch seeds, after I had got my temps and nute dosages a little more under control.

Thanks for all the help.
