30 sq ft first time closet grow

I've decided one day couple of months ago to grow some cannabis. The reason why is personal so I won't discuss that but essentially we have unlimited amount of funds for this project and we have never grown before and we have limited amount of space. So we are trying to maximize every square cm of space.

At first we were going to use soil and use DWC in the other smaller closet. But what I found out was that soil is very complicated, research wise. I had no direction on which was the best type of soil to use because every body has their own opinion. So we ditched our $120 investment in air pots and bought a $200 8 site recirculating DWC buckets. At the time I didn't know how much of a pain in the ass non-recirculating buckets are going to be in such a small room.

We bought all the necessary parts like a proper propagation tray with a dome and a heat pad and used rapid rooter plugs. This combination, from my research, was the most reliable way to germinate a seed. And it was out of six seeds we planted all six sprouted. One of the had the misfortune of coming out backwards and it did survive for 4 weeks but eventually succumbed to disease. I had never even thought about seed orientation but this a was a good learning experience.

The particular strain I used was Heavy Weight Fast and Vast Auto.

They are about 30 inches tall and already flowering. Since this is a test run we don't have all of our equipment installed yet. All we have at this point is:

Humidifier
8x cxb3590
DWC buckets
Milwaukee ph meter
6 inch carbon filter and fan

We were going to go LED all the way. It was just matter of choosing which one. I almost pulled the trigger few times on getting AdvancedLED lights then I like Viparspectra more and I looked at Mars Hydro. Then one day on my research I got pointed into the direction of Cree Cobs. I quickly figured out that they were the best option but it was scary because I have never played with power and electronics. But I came up on growmau5's videos on Youtube that gave me a little confidence to go for it. I bought two sets of kits that came with all the components and a driver for $500 each and I assembled them on an L shaped aluminum. Used a hack saw and rivets to put them together.

This is the end result. We are going to add another complete bar of 8 lights but this time I'm looking at https://chilledgrowlights.com/our-p...x-diy-led-light-module-200-watt-3-drivers-kit

In our next harvest cycle we are going to invest heavily into a High pressure Aeroponic system. I have purchased a used outdoor water mister with a 300 psi pump. And I will be ditching my DWC buckets for 6x 20 gallon Rubbermaid commercial tote. And there will be a smaller tote acting as a central reservoir. This system is way overkill for the amount that I'm growing but I'm kind of enjoying playing with new technology and overcoming engineering challenge.

This is a blue print of our Aeroponic system. We are going to have 6 growing sites and

We haven't counted how much we spent so far but I think we spent over $2000 so far. And that is a big reason why we are having such success so far. We basically know nothing about growing but having the best parts available to you gives you an advantage that can overcome rookie mistakes.
